Hi there,

My name is Scrax and i've been playing League of Legends on the EU West server for about 7-8 months now.
I don't think I am better than anyone here, but I do think I have a lot of experience with Teemo so I'd like to share my guide with you. I will try to keep this guide updated with tweaks/nerfs.

Please remember that playstyle affects the outcome of this guide. I play Teemo pretty aggresively and I would always pick him against a Singed or a Chogath. Yesterday, at the time of writing, my team was flaming me really hard for picking Teemo against Chogath. I ignored them and slaughtered Chogath top.

Sometimes you just have to stand up for yourself and do what YOU know works.

Pros / Cons of Teemo

+ Easy to escape! (shrooms can slow, your W has a speed passive)
+ Blind is OP (with your blind (Q) you shut down AD based champions with ease)
+ Ranged - Easy poking at top laners
+ Free wards with shrooms

- Very Squishy, don't get caught!
- Global Taunt, meaning your enemies will try focussing you like crazy
- Range of 500 , other AD carries could poke you better
- Shrooms can be seen by Oracle's Elixir or Vision Ward

Flash is OP , there is nothing better for Teemo.

Ignite makes killing healthy enemies a lot easier, take this for early kills etc.

Take teleport if you like to teleport gank other lanes. You can teleport to your own shrooms too (R).

I play teemo with different runes depending on the game.

My general runeset however is:

Greater Mark of Magic Penetration x9
You will want these as most of Teemo's damage output is magic damage. Feel free to try Hybrid runes though, these will give you a nice boost early game.

Greater Mark of Armor x9
Always use armor runes, there is no need to pick anything different, even minions are OP early game.

Greater Glyph of Ability Power
I like these runes because they make your poison hurt quite a lot early game. Feel free to swap these for magic resist if you feel not as experienced.

Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed
Teemo is fast on his own, but with these runes you can kind all those annoying top laners very easily. I use these to dodge Chogath Q very easily :) Again, feel free to swap for whatever you think is best.

Skill Sequence

With Teemo you usually want to upgrade your poison (E) right away. This is your main damage ability.

Item's are what make Teemo either strong or weak.
Movement speed I would say is pretty OP, therefore I would always start with boots.

Boots of Speed
To start with extra movement speed, this will help with poking the enemy.

Health Potion x3
To keep healing while laning.

This item reduces the magic resistance of your enemy This item stacks which makes this item really good with on-hit Teemo, as on-hit items deal magic damage.

Wit's End
Wits End makes your auto attacks deal extra magic damage and gives you stacked magic resistance.

Rylai's Crystal Scepter
Makes your poison and shrooms deal more damage and gives you CC.

Blade of the Ruined King
The Blade of the Ruined King is is a very good item for on-hit Teemo. It deals damage based on the targets current health and it also gives you lifesteal, something on-hit Teemo in season 2 was missing. This item works great against champions like Singed and Chogath who have lots of health.

Guardian Angel
This item will give you both armor and magic resist, it also brings you back to life. Feel free to replace this one with whatever you like.

Optional/Viable items

Sorcerer's Shoes
If you think you have more then enough attack speed get these, your poison will deal more damage.

Mercury's Treads
Feel free to get this item if the enemy team has 2+ AP champions or has lots of crowd control.

Rabadon's Deathcap
If you like having more ability power, get this item. This will make you do crazy damage with your shrooms (R) and poison (E).

Liandry's Torment This item makes your blind and shrooms deal a percentage of the target's health in magic damage. Try combining this item with a Rylai's Crystal Scepter or Frozen Mallet as CC (read: slows) makes it do twice as much damage.

The Bloodthirster
Feel free to get this item if you are super fed. It gives you more attack damage and life steal.]]

Item's to leave alone

Nashor's Tooth
Unless you decide to go down the AP route, don't get this item. Cooldown reduction is not needed and you have more then enough attack speed. It's better to invest in other items.

Unique Skills

Teemo has got mushrooms which work as both wards and as bombs when an enemy steps on them.

Noxious Trap To help make the game easier for both your teammates and yourself remember to shroom entrances and exits of the jungle and also place them in the tribushes. This should give yourself enough time if the enemy jungler decides to come say hi.

Shrooms can also be used for wave clearing, allowing you to push your lane like crazy. If you feel like you are going to get tower dived, feel free to place them around your turret. The slow and damage on your shrooms should allow for some extra damage on the attacker.
