Introduction

Hi i'm TheOrphanMaster.
This is my second guide on Mobafire. I love the AD champions. Thats why most of my build will be on ADC or AD melee. I already do a guide on Yasuo and I love the experience. So, even if no one vote on my other build, I will do another one on Ashe, the frost archer, for you can have others strategies on how to play her. Ashe is my main carry. She have lot of CC, a vision abilities, a global ultimate and a bonus gold passive. Is Focus is the only abilities with Tryndamere passive to have a early critical chance without runes. Something that people forgot is that Ashe is a ADC. She made for deal damage and do critical strike. This guide give you a lot of AD and critical strike. With her slow its really strong.

Ranked game play with Ashe: 27/36

ADC

The ADC is a champion made for deal a lot of physical damage. They usually build with Critical chance, AD and some attack speed. They need to be protect from attack during team fight because they are squishy but they deal a lot of damage. They are good for kill tank but APC kill them easily. It is one of the most important role with the tank and the APC.

Pros / Cons

-Increase range attack with Volley
-Good damage with passive early
-Powerful stun if shot at distance

-Squishy
-Need practice for use her ultimate well
-Slow movement speed
-Weak early

Skill Sequence

Ability Sequence

Volley: I max Volley first because its dealing additional damage and its have only 4 sec cooldown so its you can spam it in team fight for deal huge damage to ennemies.

Frost Shot: I max it after because its giving its slow bonus to Volley and its really useful for chase down or escape with 35% at maximun.

Hawkshot: I max Hawkshot last because its gold bonus its nice but a bit useless and we don't need vision until late game. But when its at max its can give vision to most of the map by middle lane.

Summoner spells

Normal ADC spells:

Flash and Barrier are ADC normal spells. Its give you some more resistance with Barrier. Flash is useful for run away by flash over a wall or just flash a bit farter of your ennemy. You can use it offensively for flash to a ennemy who out of range and finish him.

Others possibility:

Ghost can go at the place of Flash but you can't go over wall and you will travel distance as quickly as Flash. But you still travel more distance over time. Heal is like a permanent Barrier but less effective. But you can use it to Heal many allies. Clairvoyance can help you to have vision for your ultimate. But normally you should be able to cast it without Clairvoyance. Ignite is pretty usefull for finish ennemy early game. But mid and late game, its become a bit useless. You can take Teleport too for go faster to lane or ult at distance and teleport for kill a ennemy from far away

Spells

:Ashe gains 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 Focus stacks each second while not attacking. These values increase every 4 levels. Upon reaching 100 stacks, Ashe's next basic attack will automatically critically strike. Ashe starts out with a number of Focus stacks equal to her critical strike chance value.

Tips:
  • Early, use Focus for poke ennemies.
  • Before a team fight charge your Focus for be sure to do a max of damage.
  • Focus with Frost Shot are good for surprise ennemies and make them can't run.
  • If ennemies are at leash go in brush and when they come use Focus and Volley for already do half of their health.
:Toggle: Ashe's basic attacks slow her target's movement speed by 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 % for 2 seconds.

Tips:
  • Toggle on Frost Shot in team fight for make them escape, chase down or just change of target harder
  • Frost Shot is the best Ashe ability for slow.
  • Use it when a ennemy running for do additionnal damage.
  • Frost Shot don't use mana on turret. Toggle on if you know ennemies are close and you are destroying a turret or for be ready to slow them when the turret will fall.

:Ashe fires 7 arrows in a cone, dealing 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 / 80 (+100% attack damage) physical damage to each target hit. Each arrow will only hit one enemy, and each enemy will only be hit by one arrow. It also applies a slow equal to the one in the current rank of Frost Shot even if it is not active.

Tips:
  • When chasing down if ennemies are out of range use Volley to slow them again and catch up.
  • Volley does not apply critical chance. Only use it in team fight for damage many ennemies or for shoot someone out of range.
  • Ennemies can just take 1 arrow. Do not try to go close of them for hit them with many arrow.

:Passive: Ashe gains 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 extra gold whenever she kills a unit or destroys a structure.

Active: Ashe sends her Hawk Spirit on a scouting mission to a target area in the map, revealing terrain as it travels in a straight line and granting vision of the target area for 5 seconds. The Hawk Spirit will reveal units in the brush but will not reveal stealthed units or objects.

Tips:
  • Use Hawkshot to see ennemies in jungle or in their lane for shoot Enchanted Crystal Arrow in the good direction.
  • Use Hawkshot to reveal where ennemies (baron, dragon, jungle, etc...) are without any danger.
  • Hawkshot reveal your position. So be carefull when use it.
  • Use Hawkshot when you're in jungle for clear the path

:Ashe fires a missile of ice in a straight line that will pass over all other units until it collides with an enemy Champion or leaves the map. If the arrow collides with an enemy Champion, it will deal 250 / 425 / 600 (+100% of ability power) magic damage, stun and add a slow to the champion hit. It will also explode after the hit to slow and deal half damage to all other enemies in a small area around the champion hit. The duration of the stun increases the farther the arrow travels before impact and caps at 3.5 seconds. Both slows are 50% and last for 3 seconds.

Tips:
  • Use it for save a teammate by shot the arrow where he is going and stun ennemies champions who chasing him.
  • You cannot steal baron with your arrow. But if you are sure they are there you can use it for stun them and help your teammate to steal it or kill them.
  • Arrow give you vision. If you miss your cible at less you know where they are.

Synergies

You counter:
Counter: You counter Vayne because she a short range carry. Ashe is a long range so she can attack from farter than Vayne. Another advantage Ashe have is that her slow make Vayne Tumble useless. Finally Vayne can't Tumble out of Ashe Volley because its too big. You get counter: Master Yi counter Ashe because he have a lot of movement speed so he can go to Ashe really fast and kill her in a few attacks. Master Yi ultimate make him immune to slow. So Ashe can't slow him for keep him at distance. You get counter:

Support

Leona is the best support for Ashe. After spawn she can easily give first blood with her stun. Early they have both a lot of cc so they can kill ennemy quick. Mid and early Ashe and Leona ult can made a stun of 3 second and easy to land if Ashe hit first.

In game

Early

In lane

Farm. If they come close to you or in your range poke them for keep them at distance. If they play passive too poke them with volley for make some damage and be sure they don't engage. If they engage before you are 6 run with Frost Shot and Volley for they don't do too many damages. Engage only if you have your ultimate and they are low on health. Ashe very weak early so you can just kill them if they are under 300hp and they are stun.

Recall

When you recall always buy a few health potion. You should normally buy items first and with the gold you have buy 1 to 3 health pot. And after go to a jungle camp (double golem if with Demacia, Wolves if with Noxus) to have some free CS, gold and experience.

Infinity Edge

When you have your Infinity Edge you become stronger so you can play more agressive. Poke with Volley, do basic when they are close and when they are under 50% health ult on them and you will be able to kill them.

Feeding

All the feeding game generally start here. When early game only a BF sword can make a difference. Its start from 100 to 150 AD so its can help to fed even more.

Mid/late game

Team fight

In team fight stay behind your team. Attack high damage target like APC or ADC first. When they are dead you can attack the tank. After this they will probably try to run away. Slow them with your Frost Shot. If you don't use your ult its the time to use it. Shoot it on the farter ennemy and use Volley for you can catch up him and teammate can kill him.

Turrets

Toggle on Frost Shot when attacking a turret. It won't cost mana and if a ennemy champion come defend you just have to do a basic attack

Chase down

Easy if ennemy have no natural escape. You just need to use every CC spell that you have ( Frost Shot, Volley and ult) when ever you can.

Be chase

Just need to use Frost Shot run a bit use it again when it disapear. He will take damage and you will take some HP with Lifesteal. Don't use Volley exept if he is at distance and you think he can catch you if you don't slow him.

YOLO

Late game die can make all the diference: people destroy turret in a few seconds, respawn time is close of 60 seconds. So play passive and be sure to win a team fight before engage.
