Other Runes
After the rune balance update, I seen supports run 9 HP Seals 3 Armor Quints or 9 Armor Seals and 3 HP Quints. I personally like to my default rune page.
I usually use Exhaust most of the time because it slows their movement speed by 50% and more importantly their attack speed by 30% for 2.5 seconds.
OR
Ignite is good when their Support has a healing ability and their ADC has the heal spell. It does 70-410 true damage (depending on levels}, grants vision of the target, and more importantly reduces their healing affect for 5 seconds.
+
Always use Flash as a summoner spell. You can escape from situations. You can also do the "Flash Hook."
Item Sequence
Talisman of Ascension After Ruby Sightstone I immediately rush Talisman because of the activation and cooldown reduction.
+
Ionian Boots of Lucidity After I completed both my core items, I next buy Ionian Boots for the cooldown reduction. Talisman of Ascension + Ionian Boots of Lucidity + Intelligence = 40% CDR.
Mikael's Blessing Buying Mikael's Crucible is important, It saves 1700 gold for your ADC that could be buying a BF Sword. It allows you to peel better in team fights. It removes any debuff and heals.
Randuin's Omen OR Sunfire Aegis After Mikael's Blessing you should buy a defensive item. If you have no souls you may need to buy a Randuin's Omen OR Sunfire Cape depending if you need to initiate and be the tank, or do damage.
Banshee's Veil After your decision for your 5th item. Buy a Banshee's Veil if they have any sort of poking ability or AP Champion. This is extremely useful if you're getting bursted down in teamfights.
Sweeping Lens / Oracle's Lens Are important to Early-Mid-Late game scenarios. You need a Sweeping Lens to contest dragon/baron without getting caught. Buying a Vision Ward will help even more.
Morgana's Black Shield will counter your Death Sentence, Flay, and The Box. The counter to her is, try to bait out your hook. You can still reactivate your hook and focus a different target who does not have Black Shield. Rush Mercury's Treads or Banshee's Veil.
Alistar will disrupt your combo with Headbutt and Pulverize. Unbreakable Will will allow him to tank your The Box. He has more sustain than you due to his healing ability Triumphant Roar. To counter , bring to deal with his Triumphant Roar and his tankyness.
+
If an enemy champion is nearby, and places a Stealth Ward / Vision Ward on your Dark Passage. Your ally who is in trouble can not use it to escape. The ward counts as a unit.
has the strongest early game due to his Spinning Axe. He has an attack speed steroid, allowing him to auto attack faster and reposition. His Stand Aside can make or break a hook play. He can help position champions into hook range or knocking them aside to dodge it. Draven has NO escape ability. Thresh's Dark Passage grants an escape.
is one of the best duelist in the marksman category. His passive Lightslinger helps trading damage. His Ult The Culling will pop any Banshee's Veil or spell shields.
has one of the highest auto attack range of 650 without using any type of ability. You can compliment her by Flaying the second target who isn't getting ultimated by . Her Yordle Snap Trap will help you land hooks because it immobilizes the target, which sets you an easy kill. has a built in escape ability 90 Caliber Net.
is one of the underplayed high tier marksman. But her kit compliments . Her ult On The Hunt will help you position in team fights, and having an easier time Death Sentence anyone. She has a crazy level 1 push ability, Ricochet. She has a built in Spell Shield which gives her mana if used.
is one of the best marksman to play with . His passive Deadly Venom is a DOT ability that does true damage depending how many stacks the target has. He has a built in escape ability and an attack speed steroid Ambush. His Venom Cask apply Deadly Venom stacks and slow the target. His E Contaminate does physical damage and depends on how many Deadly Venom stacks does the target have. Thresh's The Box compliments 's Rat-Ta-Tat-Tat. He gains 300 attack range and 20/28/36 AD depending on levels for 7 seconds. If your has all the core items and Sword of the Divine, you will win team fights. You can help him by Flaying everyone, The Box, and Death Sentence anyone who touches your Twitch.
