I see people arguing over Butcher mastery and other auto attack based things... I would think that since Renekton can use his w to auto-attack reset and hit faster than attack speed would allow, it would not be as disadvantageous as some people say. And Tiamat is fantastic for Renekton but all the people here who talk about higher ELO also talk only about building tank, is tank Renekton the only viable Renekton at higher ranks?

What are your thoughts on Summoner Spell Ghost? How does it compare to Flash and Exhaust?

Speaking with personal experience, my jungle renekton build is especially strong late game, but weak against magic damage heavy team early before I get spirit visage.

Renekton will be a huge tank late game and he will be so big and block most of the damage. He will be up at the enemies' faces and most of the cases enemy adc will only be able to hit you if he tries to kite.

It is actually quite easy to dive into the enemy line late game since renekton has 2 gap closer with very small cooldown. Renekton can E twice with cooldown of 8.4 second (40% cdr). This is basically 1 gap closer every 4.2 second.

Well I wouldn't suggest to jungle Renekton for several reasons. One of the biggest is, that he is not a good initiator, as you said. You can only close the gap with Flash + Slice and Dice and that is very bad, followed up by a single target stun. Many junglers have a lot better initiate.

Furthermore Renekton is not the strongest Champion in the very late game. He will fall off and needs to be strong early, but the jungle does not support this as good as the top lane does.

I will not vote, because you don't explain much and I don't see how this build would work later on in higher elo.

For mastery, u suggest butcher and feast, but butcher (2 damage on minion/monster) is useless for renekton since a majority of his damage is from his skills, not aa. The 2% increase damage from double edge sword will be more than 2 damage on both his aa and skills. Feast is also useless since Renekton lose little to no hp in jungle starting early game. And his Q heals a lot. And I am not getting butcher, I will not get feast.

And Bladed armor in defense are for slow junglers, not for fast jungler like renekton, shyvanna, mundo.

In terms of ganking mid and getting burst down. There is no worries pre 6. And when enemy mid is lv 6, I am very likely to be lv 6 as well since I am a fast jungler. So I have 300 extra health from ult. And when I gank, if enemy mid is in range to land a skill, I am also in range to E to him and cc him.

There are no champs that have the potential to burst down Renekton until they get Deathfire Grasp.

But i then I would have kindlegem, doran blade, and most likely Negatron Cloak(40 MR). 580 extra hp and 40 mr is enough to not get bursted down.

The only damage items I get costs 2000 + (440 - 176) gold. This is very reasonable. There are many junglers that gets at most 1 tank item.

the actual reason you get hydra is because you can cancel w animation, just sayin. bout the guide: dont know much about the new masteries but in the jungle you should really get butcher and maybe feast and in defense bladed armor. runes are ok but you should really think about taking mr glyphs. yes i know, junge monsters dont deal magic damage but if you gank mid/ap top youll need the mr when i tries to fight back. now what really bothers me are the items. when your first item is an offensive item (sotel) you can easily be bursted down when ganking midlane and when going against a burst botlane like leone+graves. you also cant towerdive. you should pretty much always get spirit of the ancient golem. my usual build would be sotag -> randuins -> visage -> situational. maybe get a dblade early. oh btw taking flash is a must. yeah didnt really like the guide sry.

In terms of life steal and health.
Renekton heal a majority of his health from Q, not life steal.

The only worthy lifesteal item to get is Ravenous Hydra because the aoe also give you lifesteal. But it is too costly. And as a jungler, since I already have Spirit of Elder Lizard, I will get tanky items now. Like Spirit Visage, Randuin's Omen, and Warmog's Armor

I strongly disagree with your statement "The fury regeneration is also terrible in the jungle so overall Wriggles is a better item."

In jungle and fights, rene regenerate most of his fury from Q, W and aa. So the more cdr he has, the faster he regenerate fury.

Second, comparing Wriggles lantern with Spirit of Elder Lizard, Spirit of Elder Lizard Increase jungle speed more !

All Rene's skill scale off ad, and most of rene's damage are from his skills (both in team fight and jungle), Spirit of Elder Lizard gives 30 ad and +30% damage on jungle.

Wriggles lantern's atk speed does not help rene at all since it has no ad. And 20 armor is nothing.

And comparing 40% increased gold, with Bounty Hunter, Bounty Hunter is better gold income source.

I think Wriggles lantern helps Renekton more by increasing his attack speed while improving clear speed. The fury regeneration is also terrible in the jungle so overall Wriggles is a better item.

The spirit items give mana, which Renekton does not need for a virtually useless passive which is like 5 dps.

Ninja Tabi+Wriggles lantern =all the armour and the fury regeneration you need!!!
Vampiric Scepter+Spirit Visage=all health, lifesteal and magic resist you need!
Vampiric Scepter could be upgraded into Blade of the ruined king, or Bloodthirster. All 2 items are really good.

You should have 4 items by now, the fifth and sixth item could be a defense item such as Maw of Malmortius or Guardian angel.

EDIT: Frozen Mallet is also good on him.
