Hey Guys and Girls,

I am MaD xVegeta, and I play on EUW since one year. I played Ryze a lot and think he is a underrated OP champ.

This is MY Ryze playstyle and i am really good with it. I don´t say that this is the only or the best build for Ryze. I think that it works well and everybody can play Ryze with it. I just want to share my experience with the League of Legends and MobaFire community

Pros

+ Good Waveclear
+ High Damage in the Mid- and Lategame
+ Unique and funny playstyle
+ AOE and CC

Cons
- Weak in Earlygame
- Short range
- No poking abilities

Ryze is good against...
Fizz and Veigar. If Fizz´ jump is on CD he can stun snare him and kill him easy. Veigars ultimate needs an AP enemy to make damage. If you are able to outfarm veigar he is useless the whole game.

Ryze is bad against...
Ziggs and Xerath. These are both champs with a huge range. They can stop Ryze from farming and kill him from range. In the most cases he is not able to reach a Ziggs/Xerath to make dmg on him.

Arcane Mastery (Passive)
When Ryze casts a spell, all other spells have their cooldown reduced by 1 second.

Overload (Q)
Cost: 60 Mana
Range: 625
Ryze throws a charge of pure energy at an enemy for heavy damage and additional damage based upon Ryze's maximum mana. Ryze also gains passive cooldown reduction.
Active: Deals 60/85/110/135/160 (+40% Ability Power) plus 6.5% of Ryze's maximum Mana (+6.5% % of maximum Mana) in magic damage.
Passive: Gains 2/4/6/8/10% Cooldown Reduction.


Rune Prison (W)
Cost: 60/70/80/90/100 Mana
Range: 600
Ryze traps target enemy unit in a cage of runes, damaging them and preventing them from moving. Also gains bonus damage based on Ryze's maximum mana.
Roots the enemy for 0.75/1/1.25/1.5/1.75 second(s), dealing 60/95/130/165/200 (+60% Ability Power) plus 4.5% of Ryze's maximum Mana (+4.5% % of maximum Mana) in magic damage.


Spell Flux (E)
Cost: 60/70/80/90/100 Mana
Range: 600
Ryze releases an orb of pure magical power that deals damage and bounces from the initial target up to 5 times. Also gains bonus damage based on Ryze's maximum mana. Targets hit have their magic resistance reduced.
Unleashes an orb that bounces to enemies or Ryze up to 5 times.Each bounce deals 50/70/90/110/130 (+35% Ability Power) plus 1% of Ryze's maximum Mana (+1% % of maximum Mana) magic damage and reduces Magic Resist by 12/15/18/21/24 for 5 seconds.


Desperate Power (R)
Cost: No Cost
Range: Self
Ryze channels immense arcane power, he gains spell vamp and all of his spells deal area of effect damage.
Channels immense arcane power gaining 15/20/25% Spell Vamp, and 80 Movement Speed. Spells deal 50% area of effect damage for 5/6/7 seconds.

In the early game you should last hit minions with your q to get stacks on your "Tear of the Goddess".

Later you can use your Ultimate in combination with your E to clear the minion waves.

This runebuild give you extra mana which rises Ryze dmg in the early game. The extra magic penetration helps to take your enemies down and the extra amor prevents you from dying if you get genked.

The items are very special for a Midlaner. Ryze´s damage is based on AP and Mana. So you have to buy good mana items. Muramana AND Seraph´s Embrance will rise your Mana on 2000! which scales in ****ing damage.

Will of the Ancients gives you 20% Spellvamp. Your Ultimate gives you 12% Spellvamp so he can restore his health very easy.

You can change the Frozen Heart to Spirit Visage if you have problems against an AP midlaner. But i prefer Frozen Heart because of the extra Mana

Ryze is a good champ to burst enemies down and has a very strong waveclear. But he can be countered by champs with more range.
