The only problem: Getting mid lane in ranked:P

Glad someone was able to make ap cho mid work. I've tried but had inconsistent results so I stopped for the most part. For the 6th item, wouldn't abyssal be a good choice as a replacement for Void Staff? Iceborn and Frozen Heart are also good choices that I regularly build, but I tend to forego a void staff just because his ult doesn't benefit from the magic pen. Overall though good guide for opening players' eyes and realizing cho has a very easy lane most of the time.

Even though void staff does not help his ult damage output it helps his Q(your primary source of poke). The sixth item is very flexible for Cho, if you want more AP you can do DFG, if you want more tankiness go with Frozen Heart or Iceborn.

You aren't going to be able to regularly output true damage as you would his other abilities, if you are ahead i'd probably go void staff to round myself out but if I really needed the dmg at set points in the game it would probably be worth it to invest in that burst that dfg and omnomnom offers.

He does true damage though, why void staff?

DFG is not a bad pick up :), I would use it to replace void staff.
