RENGAR IS A FUN ****ING CHAMPION LOL I LOVE HIM HES SO FUN AND GOOD.

You can play him full ap, full tank, off tank, full damage. A very good champ lol.

Runes

Going full armor pen/cdr/armor is the best choice in my opinion. Although raw armor seals can we swapped with scaling hp runes or scaling armor, but i prefer to keep it raw (kappa) and have a decent amount of armor at level 1,in order to clear the jungle efficiently.

Creeping / Jungling

Rengar's jungle path is simple. If blue team, start from red side and clear it all. Make sure your team helps you out with golems (if possible make the support tank it).

If blue team, start from gromp, clear it (make the support tank or make sure you get a great leash), clear blue, wolves and recall. Buy the hunter's talisman and go for raptors, red, golems, then gank. Make sure you clear your jungle before ganking,in order not to fall behind in case you fail the gank (the enemy jungler could counterjungle you easily if you're dead lmao).

Invading? nay or yay? Depends. It's easier to invade a squishy champion than a tank with a lot of sustain that doesnt lose hp at all while clearing the jungle, so be careful, and invade if you can get out alive, otherwise, don't do it or you will fall behind.

Team Work

TEAM WORK? AS RENGAR? WHAT?

Yes. You might think Rengar isn't a "teamwork" champion like everyone does, but surprise, he is a strong team mate.

Why? Let me explain it.

Rengar's potentioal is the assassination. The assassination itself can be seen as a engage or a clean up. Just imagine having a solid comp with a solid tank that's able to either engage or peel, and you are a fed rengar. You can easily engage with your ultimate (make sure you ALWAYS have 5 stacks before ulting into a team/full hp target)and make the enemy team PANIC, yes, panic, they will go on tilt after they see an exclamation mark on their carries's heads, and will do the best to keep em' alive.By doing that, the focus will be on the rengar, and not on his team.

Possible results assuming you are a good Rengar:

-You kill your target and survive, your team fights and wins the team fight

-You kill your target and die, but your team still wins

-You don't kill your target and survive, but your team wins because the enemy team used everything to stop you

-You don't kill your target and die, but your team wins for the same reason^

Also, rengar is strong in mid game, when everyone is split and the team fights are sometimes awkward; in this part of the game, a smart rengar KNOWS when to ult and make a pick on the carry, he will deny vision in every lane, and ult when he knows the buffs are up and the carries are about to take them, or kill the carry who is going to clear a way that rengar (you) pushed on purpose.

Rengar is all about being smart and having mechanics if you think about it, a smart rengar can solo carry solOq by playing a mind game with the enemy team.

1SHOT COMBO

There we go.This is why you are here. HOW DO PEOPLE ONE SHOT AS RENGAR? Let me explain it to you :).

First step: Get 5 stacks, Yooumus, Tiamat (and statik shiv if possible).

Second step: Find a target (you can't one shot a tank), for example an adc, let's say Vayne.

Third step: Deny vision before assassinating. (use the trinket or pinks)

Fourth step: Use your ultimate,(R) Youumus's active when you see the carry(1), Press EMPOWERED Q (Q) before jumping on the target (Vayne for example), in mid air, press Bola strike (E) and Tiamat at the same time (2). If the damage isn't enough, use a second Q once you done with the combo, even though the damage should be more than enough especially if you have a statik shiv! (FINAL COMBO: R-1-Q-E-2 & Q)

Final step: Tell your team Vayne needs a grave for the rest of the game.

Rengar's counters

Rengar is good champion and all but...like ALMOST everyone, he has counters.

CC AND VISION counter rengar.

If you want to play him, make sure champs with hard CC and peel are not picked, even tho in soloq, everything could happen!
