Threats to Fiddlesticks with this build
Hello! My name is Enzo otherwise in-game as M Misteren and welcome to my Fiddlesticks guide! In this guide I shall be teaching you guys how to play my personal favorite Jungler Fiddlesticks. I've played Fiddlesticks since I started play in League of Legends. He was one of the first champion I bought.
In this guide I will be covering everything from runes/masteries, to what each summoner spell does to you and your enemy and the best build for Fiddlesticks.
I'm sorry for my grammar mistakes ( English isn't my main language) Hope you will enjoy!
Pros / Cons
+You don't lose any HP in the jungle
+A lot of cc
+Great AOE damages
+Fairly easy to build
+Great ganking potential
-Long cooldown on ultimate
-Your jungle can be invaded easily if u are not carefull
- Mana heavy (blue buff dependant in early)
- Fiddlesticks spells can be canceled easily
Greater Mark of Magic Penetration
Greater Seal of Scaling Health
Greater Glyph of Scaling Cooldown Reduction
Greater Quintessence of Ability Power
You can also change the Quintessences out for movement speed (which is quite fun and helpful for running around and ganking - but early clears, you might have troubles due to not having much AP).
There is 3 viable mastery pages on Fiddlesticks in jungle :
12/18/0 Stormraider's Surge and Thunderlord's Decree . The first one is really useful in teamfight to apply your ultimate and has a great synergie with Dread. The second is better in early game. The burst of Thunderlord's Decree is really helpful for the early ganks.
This start is, in my opinion, the best starter possible for Fiddlesticks. The Hunter's Talisman is better than the Hunter's Machete because it gives you mana regen. Then, the Vision Ward is very useful in early game to provide an eventual invade of your red buff. If it is appening, just take the ennemy's red buff after your blue buff. Fiddlesticks doesn't need Health Potion, buying it is an immediate waste of 50 golds.
Your first item most of the time. The slow of the smite works very well and Runic echoes is the best enchant for Fiddlesticks.
These boots are really good, you can also take Ionian Boots of Lucidity to have more couldown reduction or the mobility boots if you are snowballing, you have the choice.
Best item of the game for Fiddlesticks,
Indeed, active property enables him to go into the fight to inflict heavy damages and , being invulnerable.
The Abyssal Scepter is also a great item because it provides a mix of power and magic resistance , while reducing the magic resistance of the enemy nearby and bringing the CDR.
It will be the lethal weapon to permanently override the opposing magic resistance and deal very serious damages.
I think this item is a must have on an AP champion. It gives so much AP
This is quite good with fiddlesticks but it's not the best item you can buy. It doesn't give the damages of a rabadon or the tankiness of a rylai but it's a funny item. Never buy it if you are behind your opponent.
If you want to snowball the game, you can take a Mejai's Soulstealer before your zhonya but it's really ballzy!
The Veil of the Banshee allows Fiddlesticks to get protected from a binding spell that could cancel channeling his ultimate. Very good in teamfight and versus magic compositions.
A very good item against full AD team.
It is an excellent item on fiddlestick . It is better to buy it against a heavy damage composition. it will give you HP and ability power and his passive is rather effective with Fiddlesticks.
Flash is generally very privileged in League of Legends now , apart from some special cases. On Fiddlesticks, his fragility known in early game may require a Flash in case of adverse invade. It's also very useful for combining with the ultimate if your target flashed, and allows some fantasies in early game if you choose to gank early in the game.
Smite is of course completely essential , regardless of your pick in jungle.
The first spell I choose to take is of course the Drain. It allows to clean the jungle effectively by its damages and its sustain, leaving mostly intact Fiddlesticks after a confrontation with a buff or a jungle camp. Dark Wind comes next for his contribution in damage, and its effectiveness in the jungle. The jungle camps offer all except the gromp, a maximum chance to crow to bounce many times in their configuration, maximizing the damage of the spell. Except in exceptional cases, I always opt for a second point in the drain at level 3. The idea is to make the most of this spell sustain and increase the damage dealt by Fiddlesticks before releasing fear level 4 to start the first gank.
Once the level reaches 4, Fiddlesticks is in full possession of its controls and can envisage a first gank. The absence of level 6 reduces the potential gank of Fiddlesticks, so we must take into account the position of the opposing jungler and the status of the different lanes. If no opportunity does offer immediately, I opt for a rush of level 6 farming the jungle.
The first spell that I maximize is the Drain, always with a view to make the most of the damage and sustain.
The second choice is the fear of Fiddlesticks, which becomes a real pain to his opponents after a few added points. It isn't uncommon to see a champion enemy without dash using his flash to avoid this fate, often means major damage or even kill in an aggressive configuration. Once the Q / A increased to the maximum, the ultimate is level 2. Now you just have to increase your E remembering of course to the last point in your ultimate at level 16.
Creeping / Jungling
Fiddlesticks is known to be weak in early game because due to his low amount of HP. If the selected runes partly solve this problem, Fiddlesticks remains exposed to early invades, especially against aggressive junglers such as Lee Sin or Jarvan IV. So be very careful and don't hesitate to buy pink wards quite often, even at your first purchase in the shop. Fiddlesticks doesn't need potions contrary of the most of the picks meta, and can buy a pink ward in addition to its jungle item.
I like to rush my level 4 to try a first gank with the fear. If there is no gank available, don't waste time and keep your intake of XP into the jungle to avoid to be late. Fiddlesticks isn't the jungler that has the fastest jungle clearing in the current meta, so it is important not to overlook the status of your opponent to keep an impact at least equal to his own in the game.
It's very important to communicate with your teammates. Keep them informed of the CD of your ultimate and of your differents gank timings. Try to stay informed about the vision of your opponents. Your ultimate is precious and its impact can be very important, provided that your opponents don't see it coming from too far away. You have to know that when you have your ultimate available, you must imperatively gank. Preserve it is a waste of time,
You must put maximum pressure on the lanes.
To conclude :
Start : gromp -> blue buff -> wolves -> raptors -> red buff -> krugs -> Level 4 : Gank!!!
If you have your ult : Gank!!!
If your ult is in CD : farm or take objectives, and then, when your ultimate is open : GANK!!!
Mid / Late Game
In the midgame, Fiddlesticks becomes strongerwith the Zhonya. So he is not as exposed in the early game. His itemization and its spell kit becomes enough effective at this point of the game to be considered as an excellent duelist. So, don'tt hesitate to seek your opponents in their own jungle to catch an isolated opponent as an ad carry who attempts to push a lane.
In seeking the opening, you must seek to break into the opponent's vision. You will sometimes create your own situations committed, and therefore seek to take control of the vision with pink wards and / or trinket.
The potential of Fiddlesticks in teamfight relies heavily on its ultimate, it's really important to correctly use it. To maximize your chances of success, it's interesting to combine Fiddlesticks with Champions who have controls, as Leona, Thresh or Sona.
It is also very important to pay attention to the opponents composition. If anything, such as a kick Lee Sin or ultimate Janna for example, may prevent you from engaging properly, looking an opening via a Banshee's Veil and take care to note the use of the spells of your opponents.
