Threats to Kha'Zix with this build

Threat Champion Notes
3
Amumu Evolve Q first here. Amumu is even weaker than Rengar pre-6. He can not 1vs1 you and you should bully the hell out of him. Try to get timers on his buffy and steal them whenever possible. Make sure to ward his jungle and pay attention to his laners movement when you go for counterjungeling. You always win 1vs1 if you are even.
3
Nocturne Evolve Q first here. You beat him pre-6 in 1vs1 and you beat him post-6 in 1vs1 if you do not waste your Q to his spell shield. Try to ult when he activates his spellshield and wait it out invisible. If he is fed do not fight him. Especially not if he build tank items. Not even if you are fed too. Just try to punish him early. Steal his buffs, kill him and snowball off of him.
3
Rek'Sai Evolve Q first here. This is a quite good matchup for Kha'Zix because you can almost always 1vs1 Rek'Sai as long as he is not ahead over you. You can counterjungle him and you can countergank him but try not to get catched by him and his teammates in a bad spot because he is quite mobile and can catch you offguard just like a shen can with his flash taunt.
3
Rengar Evolve Q first here. One of my favorite matchups. You can make Rengars life a hell and set him behind like crazy if you can get a small lead on him early but if he gets a big lead on you, he can one shot you. Try to preassure him from early on, try to counter gank him pre-6 and farm his jungle when you can.

INTRODUCTION

Hi I am Saipen.

I am a Gold elo Kha'Zix main and my biggestest mistakes are that I make quite bad calls and I get quite greedy without thinking about what my opponents have up to CC and kill me.

I am quite good when it comes to jungle farm efficiency, ganking, setting the enemy jungler behind and snowballing a lead so you can probably learn something from me but still not everything I say is gold.

I will mention some different views/playstyles in this guide, even if in my oppinion my style is the strongest.

WHY DO NOT BUILD LAST WHISPER ON KHA'ZIX?

I do not think that Last Whisper is worth anymore now with its reworked version of season 6. Last Whisper now reduces the BONUS-ARMOR by 45% instead of reducing the actual ARMOR by 35% which basically means that you only reduce the armor of your opponents tanks.

So remember that you want to kill their carries. Not the tanks.

WHAT TO EVOLVE WHEN?

I always was a fan of evolving E first because you get a reset on every kill/assist and you get just alot of mobility but with the recent buffs to Kha'Zix E's leap range, evolving Q is better in most scenarios.

So basically you want to evolve: Q > E > W/R
Evolve Q first for any jungle matchup you can snowball off or when you feel that you can easily snowball this game in general.

Take a look to the matchup section in this guide because I will note there what to evolve against what champion matchup in the jungle.

I evolve W/R last.
W if we need poke/waveclear.
R if I need to splitpush or I just need stronger 1vs1. Sometimes I evolve R too if they have too much crowd control but that is really situational.

You can evolve like you want but make always sure to never evolve your E later than level 11!

DIFFERENT STYLES

As you can see in the Item section I do get CDR-Boots, BC and Warrior as soon as possible to get my 45% CDR. This allows you to transition in either a offtank jungler or if you snowball really hard and your team does not need another tank, into a full ad assassin.

Basically I think that you need this versatility to carry in low elo but just to mention it here, there are some other styles. For example "Kaos Angel Hyuga" (Kha'Zix main and statistical the best Kha'Zix in the World) ALWAYS goes Warrior > Boots > Ghostblade > Death's Dance.

I do agree that Ghostblade is a very good item on Kha'Zix, especially with the rework to season 6 but in my opinion BC is better because even if it cost 300 gold more, you get +300 health, +10%cdr more and your 1vs1 potential is boosted alot through its passive.

Furthermore is Ghostblade a waste of gold in my opinion if the enemy's ADC builds armor early. (such as blue ezreal with his iceborn gauntlet)

JUNGLE PATHING AND STARTING ROUTE

When the game starts you want to walk to the river as soon as possible. Tell your team to cover and make sure nobody comes in to invade your jungle.

You can start top or bot. I prefer starting bot on both sides for the stronger pull.
For example you started red side:
kill gromb > blue buff > wolves > crab (if enemy jungler is not around)

After you killed crab you can either back to buy machete or you can try to gank an overextended lane. Do not waste time, only gank if you are 100% sure you will not get counterganked and you will definitely get a kill or flash.

So after your back you clear the other side of the jungle, in this case:
kill red buff > golems > raptors
and then gank again or continue with wolves > gromb.

What you try to achieve is that you are always efficient with your jungle route. Try to never let a camp out and always start farming where the camps will respawn next when you come from base.

Only gank if the kill is nearly guaranteed or you think you can successfully countergank.

If the enemy jungler rotates top and you are bot jungle, take drake and the other way round just put deep wards in his jungle and check for his buff to steal.

GANKING AS KHA'ZIX

Ganking as Kha'Zix is quite different from ganking with other junglers because Kha'Zix lacks Crowd Control. He only has his W slow which is not really that reliable.

But even if you do not have alot of CC your ganks are really strong in my opinion. You have so much damage that you and your team mate on the lane can burst the opponent down in a matter of seconds, even in the early game.

<--- PRE LEVEL 6 --->
So what you want to do is to WALK (safe your E for his flash) to the lane from behind, walk next to the enemy laner and then get an autoattack off to get your passive on him (slow). Then try to stay next to him so you can not miss your W. Then just Q and autoattack all the time and safe your E for when he flashes!

<--- POST LEVEL 6 --->
Basically it is the same as you gank without level 6 just that you do more damage with your Q if you evolved it. What you can do if you have your ultimate up is that you can go invisible and put your passive on the enemy laner again so he is slowed again. Level 6 Kha'Zix is also really really strong for botlane lane ganks.
