I like your build. I only have one question. Why do you build-up the smoke grenade last? I built it up gradually with Quick-draw. Especially in early game, it's very helpful. Smoke screen has a bigger range (950) than buckshot (700) and also can give just enough damage to get that last damage to kill an enemy. Also it's possible to stand out of range of a turret and hit an enemy, when he's hiding behind the turret. So Quick draw, Buckshot, normal attack, Collateral Damage and when the enemy thinks he's save behind the turret....*plum*....smoke grenade, which deals 60/110/160/210/260 (+60% Ability Power) magic damage on impact. Almost in every game, I can get the last hit with smoke grenade. Also for farming it's handy to boost grenade in early game. This is just what I noticed playing Graves.

Just one word. DAT STATIK SHIV. Never mind that was 3.
S3 really does have some interesting items, this is one that I agree works good on Graves and also on a lot other ADC's as well.
Great guide though bro, cheers, +1.

Great build/guide. taught me a lot about one of my favorite adc's and adding static shiv early gives a great amount of lane dominance and push power. thanks

Hi ! Your guide is really good . Now i think i will main graves as ad carry because he is so flexible as a jack of all trades with a bit of every ad in the game .

Just don't forget to put the new numbers for spells , and if you could explain a bit more about defensive , because i don't see why you would combine QSS with a cleanse (unless they have too much CC and some annoying supression or debuff like vlad ,morde or zed ult ) . So do you just prefer GA over MS so you pick cleanse as summoner ?

Another question . If you don't pick cleanse and you pick exhaust , which spell will pick your support ? Do you run a double exhaust lane ?

Another one , wouldn't you pick ignite if you play with a really agressive support like leona blitz and taric if they have low CC team ?

Finally , wouldn't you sell SS for PD if you reach super late game ? SS seems really good to combine with graves pushing power , is there any other reason you pick it first over BT despite graves having so much ratios ?

For those of you having mana issues on graves, here is the solution.
Keep your masteries the way they are. All you have to do is on your first back get mana pots.
Common sense yes but a lot of people forget to do this! I get two or three of them and with that and the sustain i get from vamp scept I can stay in lane an harass and be ready for ganks/team fights.
It's the easiest solution to the problem. If you start flask first you should have no problems at all however.

i don't see it as a gr8 items :/ 2 phantoms 2 blood thirst and infinity is better .

tons of damage, over attack speed and life steel , high crit chance .

its not very good build . but i see it good like this way.

both builds are good . but i prefare my build ^^

@ most of the comments on this guide:
its actually quite fun to look at the arguments ^^

@ the actual guide:
Really great guide. But i usually take Bloodthirster a bit earlier than what you put in your Infinity Edge build. Any reason behind that? I really like the amount of life-steal that Bloodthirster can give me in laning phase. Will test a bit more since it's Graves free week ^^

Yep. Sure is a Graves guide. I've definitely seen more diverse guides, that cover more options for a Graves build, but this one is very well thought-out, and sets up a very effective specific goal for running Graves, with relatively few weaknesses and concise timing and construction, as far as I can tell.

I'll have to try this build sometime soon.

So um, I see you failed to mention Ezreal, who's long range and burst is the only ADC who can easily kill Graves....
