This is my guide to Lux for season 3. I played her a lot in season 2 and had fun with her, but my old build is kind of dated. This is one that I spent some time on, to figure out what items and masteries would be best with her. Feel free to comment because I know this build isn't perfect since the new season just started and we are all pretty new to the items. A flaw I have found is that if you go with the cdr boots, your penetration is not that high. If I go with the sorc boots, my cooldowns are pretty long. Maybe you guys can help me out to balance this out a bit. Also if you guys find any op item combos, feel free to share because it will be nice to try out some new stuff.

masteries are new so I really dont know if what I go with is ideal, but no matter what, make sure to take spell sword because your passive+ lich bane+ spell sword is going to deal tons of damage. GREEEEEAT MASTERY!!!!!

I like to get these items because they are good >.< The burning on Liandry's is really good since Lux is an aoe burst champion. Lich bane and Lux's passive is really good, get what ever boots you feel the need to buy, but I have found that sorcs work better because without sorcs, you mpen is pretty low. If you find that your enemies aren't building magic resist then just get the cdr boots. Athene's is for obvious reasons, the good chunk of ap, the cdr and the mana regen. I still think it is a good item even after the nerfs, I think it was a bit too op before since it offered way too much damage for the amount of utility it provided. And Rabbadon's because it is like the best item in the game for mages...

Take q at level 1 only if you are aggressive or if you and your team intend on counter jungling etc. REMEMBER: Make sure to always hit your targets with a basic attack to proc your passive. This works well with lich bane, but if you forget to do it then you are pretty much wasting an item slot.
