|Garen||Is very and tanky and has a silence. SO unless your building last whisper and botrk dont go for trades.|
Im going to start my guide by saying how much I love Kassadin. I love him more than anyone in my discord call. His ult makes him nearly ungankable. His w is like having a rich dad who tops up your mana when your low. His e makes it very easy to outtrade squishy targets and his q allows him to poke and shield. Basically hes thee best champion in the game. Now I know what your thinking "Lesten that build is just the tank ekko on Kassadin you noob no wonder your bronze 4 and go 2/11 on lucian" well for your information it was 11/2 and the reason you take kassadin this build instead of Ekko is because ekkos banned isnt he. Now shut up Adam and let me show you how to riftwalk through the ranks.
Magic pen is a great stat on kassadin , AP quints for laning rather than flat defence. The items give us plenty of tank stats the runes are for damage.
Strength of Ages is a great item for tank kassadin because the whole idea behind him is that late game your going to jump on the adc and suck the elo right from their dead tilted bodies. This mastery makes you considerably tankier late. I take savagery to make it easier to last hit early and since you will be split pushing alot this makes it less likely you will miss CS.
Start rod of ages because we are starting dorans ring because no one ever uses corrupting potions procs until its too late and gives no HP. So the natural sustain and ap we get form roa is very nice in lane. The second item should be a defensive item based on your enemys laner. AD(Iceborn) AP(Abyssal) however if your enemy is an ap tank go iceborn for mana and cdr. tier 1 boots after second item. We then go Sunfire to get nice and tanky and to do damage , we then go the other defensive item we didnt get second. E.g Abyssal if Iceborn. We get mobility boots to ensure the enemy teams squishy champions dont get away and since we get 40 percent cdr from the build going lucidity boots would be a waste since flash isn't as important late with Kassadins gap closers. Our last Item is morellos because the extra ap helps burst down adcs and squishys and the new passive means your ult will always be up if you get a kill meaning you can do huge damage consistently.
Q against champions like teemo who are squishy and you can poke down. I usually take E because It does quite a bit more damage in trades.
Flash over ignite early because were not hecarim , flash also allows you to make tower dives and escape ganks early. I take teleport to remind me im going top lane and to teleport bot to make plays.
Just survive lane join teamfights once you get reasonably tanky and join teamfights when you can. Remember to wait for your E then R auto E auto Q W the enemy adc and they should be dead or at least spooked and focusing you not your team mates. Look for opportunities to split push as you can clear waves and escape safely whilst returning to lane quickly by jumping over walls.

Note: This build is similar to tank Ekko but Ekko got banned so play this instead.

Kassadin didnt get banned
Is extremely sticky
Loses lane to very tanky top laners such as maokai , mundo , volibear etc.
Vladimir didnt get banned either
Not as much damage as regular kassadin.
Last hitting early takes some getting used to , can be quite deceptive when you can and cant last hit minions , wait til around 4-5 percent before last hitting. Also since you are melee it is easier to deny you cs , for this reason save Q until you are going in to last hit and then fire at them if they try to sass you. Do not use E or Q to farm unless you are under tower or are rushing the waves. Using w on siege minions is a good idea as they are vital with the keystone and W can secure you pick them up.
