Poke with W/E/Q combo as often as possible. Ult him, if he uses E, use W to catch back up. Flash for Flash if it comes to that. Easy Kill.
Heimerdinger
This guy has no mobility whatsoever. Poke till dead. Don't get baited by turrets as they can hit quiete hard.
Karthus
No mobility again. Poke till that. You can even ult someone when he uses his ult to dodge it, if timed properly.
Twisted Fate
Ult when he throws yellow card at you and kill him. Easy target.
Azir
All he wants to do is farm and poke you with his spearmen. Your kit anihilates his, though. Kill him after level 6.
Kassadin
His early is weak, but if you allow him he will snowball and get strong. Abuse him while he's still small.
Ziggs
He can be annoying with the poke, but you should be mobile enough and able to kill him without getting killed in return.
Zilean
He is your nightmare fuel. Not as strong as you in late, but he has everything he needs against this build. He can put ON TARGET bombs and hit you for tons, while you don't have any magic resist whatsoever. If you go in to kill him, he will ult himself. You need to be really good to get this guy, but it's not impossible.
Vel'Koz
Same as Ziggs.
Annie
Easy to land spells, fairly good resists due to molten shield... You need to keep your range and to make sure you don't die once you go in. Not that hard to get, if you are used to it.
Cassiopeia
She'sssssssssss ssssssssssssso defenssssssslessssssssssss. She can still get you if she hits her ult; other than that, easy kill.
Ahri
Pretty much a skill matchup. Don't get charmed, poke her more than she pokes you, and make sure to follow her properly and land spells if she ults.
Akali
You have more damage than she does in early to mid game. After level 6, just buy a pink. 100 gold is worth for getting a kill, denying her some farm, getting safe farm in return, and not allowing her to get xp or roam other lanes. Keep your advantage at all costs.
Anivia
Easy target, but not as easy to kill if she knows what she's doing. Dodge the stun.
Fizz
Skill matchup. Don't go melee on him unless he wasted his cooldowns. Dodge his R; if he still lands it, use your R on him when it's about to do damage to you just so you dodge it. Try not to ult unless you forced his E first, as he will most likely dodge it.
Jayce
You might see a Jayce on mid every now and then; poke him more than he pokes you, and make sure you go in without being denied by his hammer E when you do it. Pretty even matchup, unless you know what you're doing.
Katarina
Skill matchup. She's will kill you unless you poke her more than she pokes you. A smart katarina will sustain and get you down slowly. After level 6, let her engage first so you ult her when she ults you to dodge some of the damage. If you're confident about getting the kill, go for it. If she roams and gets kills, she might become a bigger problem.
LeBlanc
Skill matchup. It's about who jukes who. If you have your ult, you can dodge hers by ulting at the right time; or...you cna go in and make her waste CDs or even grab a kill. She's quiete squishy like that.
Nidalee
If she plays smart and sustains, you're in trouble. If not, try to poke her down and kill her when she's out of mana/potions or far away from the tower.
Lissandra
Not that much of a counter as people make her seem to be. You can even kill her pre-6 if you're good at it, as she won't even do that much damage and you will most likely win the trade whatever happens if she goes in early. Can get troublesome to kill after level 6, though.
Kayle
Not that much of a counter either, but she will just farm, farm and outscale you. A smart Kayle will sustain and don't try dangerous sheneningans. Can still be killable even after 6. Just ult her to bait her R and don't do anything. Throw all your spells immediately after her R has ended, as it has a shorter duration than the Death Mark duration, giving you a window to apply damage and maximize it.
Syndra
Skill matchup. It's about who gets who first. Dodge things, land things, win.
Talon
Not that much of a counter, since he no longer silences. Buy pink after 6 and land everything. You have more damage than he does in early and mid game.
Yasuo
Just move around and poke him. Go in when he's low enough. Have patience with this one and don't get damaged.
Mordekaiser
One of the underrated counters to Zed. A good morde player can outsustain and outdamage you if he knows what he's doing. You need to keep your range. Won't see much of this guy, though.
Orianna
Can play extremely defensive, denying you the kill, and can outfarm you if she's gutsy. Still lacks mobility, which you can abuse and kill her, if you poke her well enough first.
This build is everything you ever want to maximize your damage and plays output with Zed; sure, it will make you very squishy, but if you know what you're doing, it will also make you very strong. And I can say that it's pretty darn' awesome to launch 2 shurikens from the same shadow before it expires, still having enough energy for a shadow slash ( or even two )...!
If you ever want to take a risk and do something more with Zed, this is the build for you !
Runes
Runes
Reds for armor pen which is good at all points in game. 1 crit chance mark to also give you a lucky strike once in a while.
Yellows for energy regen/level. This, together with the blues and the quints will give you more shuriken/shadow slashes casts which will add up even more damage to your death mark, or allow you to make more advanced plays.
Blues for CDR/level. Less cooldowns=More skills=More plays.
