Introduction

So, I've been playing Shaco for a long time now. But ever since these new masteries came out and his changes, I've been playing him much more often, because the changes made him less glitchy and more fun to play.

I've played him before, and now I like him better after the changes. His ganking potential and jungle control can match anyone.

Masteries

The masteries in this guide are early game based. I maximized his CDR, ARP, Armor, and AD.

The reason why I don't do the traditional 21/0/9, is because I think it's a waste. After the mastery revamp, they buffed exp you get from jungle making it so that junglers don't have to go nine points into the utility tree. 9 points just to get a 20% buff duration increase is a waste, This amounts to a 30 second buff increase in red/blue and 48 seconds in Baron buff... which is not that much. I'd rather use it on that extra armor early game and CDR for spamming boxes. And as for reducing time dead or movement speed increase.. If your a Shaco and you get caught out of position you're almost definitely dead.

Runes

I constructed this rune set based on EARLY GAME damage. Early game is key to Shaco's success, if you feed early game then your useless all game. Gank pre-6 ALOT. Your gank are strongest early game. They tend to weaken after the 10 minute mark. Usually I start with blue buff, wolves then wraiths and gank mid or bot at level 3. People don't expect ganks that early and with blue buff, you have practically infinite mana meaning you can spam your abilities if you fail the first gank.

6 Armor Penetration Marks
3 Attack Speed Marks
10 ArP are good enough to deal true damage on all the jungle minions, and do a lot of damage. Attack speed marks help clear the jungle faster, so that's also a plus.
Also masteries I've chosen boost 6 armor pen and 6 attack speed to a total of 11% AS and 16 ArP

9 Armor Seals
Armor makes it much easier to jungle. Masteries boost this to 21 armor.

9 Cool Down Reduction Glyphs
THIS IS A MUST FOR ME. CDR glyphs and CDR masteries give you abotu 10% CDR, which I believe helps you jungle MUCH faster. All of Shaco's cooldowns are LONG. You can get more boxes in before the start of the game and make you jungle faster.

3 Attack Damage Quints
Helps you deal much more damage
