lore

Most would say that death isn't funny. It isn't, unless you're Shaco - then it's hysterical. He is Valoran's first fully functioning homicidal comic; he jests until someone dies, and then he laughs. The figure that has come to be known as the Demon Jester is an enigma. No one fully agrees from whence he came, and Shaco never offers any details on his own. A popular belief is that Shaco is not of Runeterra - that he is a thing summoned from a dark and twisted world. Still others believe that he is the demonic manifestation of humanity's dark urges and therefore cannot be reasoned with. The most plausible belief is that Shaco is an assassin for hire, left to his own lunatic devices until his services are needed. Shaco certainly has proven himself to be a cunning individual, evading authorities at every turn who might seek him for questioning for some horrendous, law-breaking atrocity. While such scuttlebutt might reassure the native inhabitants of Valoran, it seems unimaginable that such a malfeasant figure is allowed to remain at large.

Whatever the truth of his history might be, Shaco has joined the League of Legends for reasons only he knows. He is a terrifying figure, typically shunned by both his fellow champions and the media at large. Only the summoners in the Institute of War know why such a creature was allowed into the League, but most Runeterrans suspect it to be a means that allows the power that be to keep an eye on the ever-elusive Shaco. Unsurprisingly, this champion is popular in places where madness can openly reign, such as among the power-hungry summoners of Zaun and Noxus.

Whatever you do, don't tell him you missed the punch line.

Abilities

decieve - Shaco stealths himself instantly and teleports to target location. His next attack is guaranteed to critically strike.
Shaco instantly stealths for 3.5 seconds, and teleports to target nearby location. If he attacks while stealthed, the attack is guaranteed to crit for 40/60/80/100/120% bonus physical damage.
Cost
90/80/70/60/50 Mana
Range
25000

I use Decieve for everything you can use it to decieve behind someone place your jitb and then shiv for his extra passive bonus, you can decive behind someone to just attack for the crit, then on top of it throw shiv , this works if there low health and you need just a little more damage then your shiv can do. Also this is shacos main escape ability. this spell can be cast up gaps through trees and even through baron and dragon.

Jack in the box- Shaco creates an animated Jack-in-the-Box at target location, which will wait, stealthed, to Fear nearby units and attack them when some come nearby.
Shaco creates a Jack in the Box at the target location. It will Stealth after 2 seconds, and pop out when an enemy comes near, fearing nearby enemies for 0.5/0.75/1/1.25/1.5 seconds and attacking them.

Its attacks deal 35/55/75/95/115 (+0.25) magic damage and it lasts for 90 seconds while stealthed or 5 seconds while firing.
Cost
50/55/60/65/70 Mana
Range
400

Jack In the Box is a funny ability because you can put just 3 in 1 spot and if it works out right that they run right into them they will die. These can also be used as 90 second wards. And help with escape because you could shive someone run a little put a box and keep runing and then the chaser will be feared and give you an easy escape.

Two poison shiv- Shaco's Shivs passively poison targets on hit, slowing them and applying a miss chance to minions. He can throw his Shivs to deal damage and poison the target.
Passive: Shaco's attacks poison his target, reducing their movement speed. If the target is a minion, it reduces their chance to hit by 20/22.5/25/27.5/30% for 2 seconds.

Active: Deals 40/80/120/160/200 (1+) magic damage to target enemy, and poisons them for 3 seconds. Upon activating this ability the passive is removed until Two-Shiv Poison becomes available again.
Cost
50/55/60/65/70 Mana
Range
625

Two-shiv Poison is Shacos main harassive ability because with blue buff you can constantly use it without going oom. this spell is also very good for slowing an enemy down for your team to catch up and finish him

halucinate -Shaco creates an illusion of himself nearby which deals 25% less damage and receives 50% extra damage. This illusion deals half damage to towers and inhibitors. On death the illusion explodes dealing damage to nearby enemies. Lasts up to 18 seconds. Using this removes any slow effect.
Cost: 100 mana
AoE radius: 250
Leash radius: 1125
Cooldown: 100 / 90 / 80 seconds
Magic Damage: 300 / 450 / 600 (+1.0 per ability power)

Halucinate- First off the main thing you need to know is pushing alt + right click will control it , making enemies thing its you. this can make them attack it and take ALOT of damage once it dies and explodes. i like to take it and control it into a guy at a turret making him think im turret diving so that he kills it, then if he is low enough can decieve in and shiv him for the death while excaping easily. you can also use this as a sace turret dive by controling you clone in front of you so it tankes the turret while u can finish someone off while taking like no damage if done right.

pros/cons

Pros
good at ganking
good jungler
easy to escape with
easy first blood

cons
squishy
high cds in early game
Very hard to master

Runes

For runes I like to have flat magic pen marks so that boxes will do tons more damage.

For seals I like flat ability power for more early game ganking + it helps with jungleing

And for glyphs I go with some more flat ability power.

Masteries

You can do basically any Masteries that you want, for me i like to go with 9/10/11 to get just the best out of every tree. I go with 9 in offence so that i can pick up archaic knowledge and for sorcery which help with damage and cdr. then in defence i put 10 points in there so i can get mainly defensive mastery so that jungleing will be easier and faster. and in support i throw 11 in there so that I can get utility mastery, and awareness, i get these for extended buffs , so i dont have to ever not have blue, and awareness so that i can level up faster and keep up/pass the level of the laners.

rotation for ganking

ok so in early early game like level 2-3 if enemy mid is pushing kinda hard that i can run behind i will put a jack in the box behind him so that he is feared and damaged and so it gives the middle laner time to catch up and help finish him off , but also right after i place the box you should throw shiv to slow him down so that he doesn't pass your box without being feared.

Once you are level 4 and have decieve ganking will become much easier because then you can go invisible place your box at the perfect place and then you can shiv, and expect that he is going to be feared and damaged by your box, andd the laner will be there to help kill, but even later one you have your ult you might want to place box shiv then ult so that you can maximize your damage

AP Shaco.. why play him ?

HE IS THE FUNNEST CHAMP TO PLAY!! especially when you can kill the enemy jungler by putting the jitbs in the grass. Not only is he FUN but he is actually very good to! you just need to learn him , everyone says ap shaco suck.. but in fact the best shacos out there are AP its not about luck once you learn how to play AP shaco right.

Reason for items.

i get daathfire gasp for 1 because the mana regen on it is nice and helps me to never go under. and so that when you need that extra damage on someone you can just use your item and it will do nice damage.

I get rhabadons deathcap for a easy reason that it just boosts your damage up by soo much!

Next I get Rod of Ages because it helps sustain your health, and on top it gives alot of AP to your arsenal

After that I grap a void staff, this is also a big item to get because it gives a decent amout of AP, but the main thing it does is give you 40% magic pen, which will be making your damage output be very numerous. this is a great item because the item cost is very low and has very cheap items in its build. this item could also be put before your rhabadons deathcap.

Last but not least i grab a Gaurdian Angle .. this item is so amazing because people will be like ohh finaly i kill shaco and then right as you die and come back you can decieve out of the fire :)

Ranked Games

Once you have gotten very good with AP shaco you can attempt rankes i can and do play rank with ap shaco.. people will always be like wtf in the begin, but once they see you get that first blood they will say sorry :) but in Ranked games people are more smart so be careful!

Jungleing

To jungle shaco it is very easy all you need to do is put as many jitbs right where the blue golem stands so when he spawns he will be standing on this .. dont waste your smite unless he somehow still has over 50% after your jitbs are gone.from there i like to run by the wolfs drop a box smite big dog then shiv the other and by then they should be dead.after they die use your pot. next i head to the life steal minions put one box away from the minions and then wait for the cd so i can put onw more on top of them so that it will fear and damage them and then you can pull the survivers back into you second box. Then i go to dub golems and place 1 box shiv and smite the golemn with more hp. DONT FORGET TO BE GANKING WHILE DOING THIS gank when you see a enemy over pushing someone.

Jungleing with A Enemy jungler

Right at the begining run to the enemies lifesteal minions , go into that bush and put jitbs inside it atleast 4 i like to put as many as i can tho (put the jitbs outside of the grass closest to your blue golems so that when the enemy comes and steps out of the bush the jitbs will fear and kill him .. almost always the enemy will have blue .. so you get easy blue and first blood by about 3:25 with 1/2 a level bar to level 2 .. put a box by the enemies lifesteal minions and smite the big one kill the rest and you should be level 2 get shiv and go gank mid.

Final Tips.

Dont be the AP shaco that as a team fight is going on you are sitting in a bush hoping the whole enemy team gets brought into a bush so that all of your traps go off. you need to halucinate and send him in then decieve into the fight and place a jitb so that it does a fear to all of the enemies .. BUT do NOT be in the front of your team its just not smart in a team fight .. you will get nuked :/ but make sure that they kill that halucinate so that it will do something like 1000 damage to their entire team.
