Summary

This Shen build will allow you to be a well-equipped tank for your team while still having the ability to land some finishing blows for kills. As Shen, you need to have a keen eye on the map at all times. If your teammates are in a scuffle and you are level 6+ with a reasonable amount of health, it is your job to STAND UNITED anyone that seems in need of aid. Teammates almost always appreciate an awesome SU save (and sometimes call you their hero).

Early game you'll be harassing constantly with Vorpal Blade and Ki Strike, getting minion kills with both, and healing yourself and your lane partner when hitting any target with Vorpal Blade Applied. Depending on your laning situation, you may want to add an early point to Shadow Dash, though well-timed feints and use of vorpal blade are far more effective first few levels. Also, with exhaust and ghost - first blood should fall into your - or your lanemates lap.

Mid game you'll be pushing whatever lane needs it and SU'ing any teammate that needs the help. Also, when your not at the forefront of teamfights, say - when the other team initiates and only part of your team is there to answer - once both teams engage, SU a target with half health, come to their rescue, and Shadow Dash to steal the aggro. During all this, your mates should have been focusing targets down while you soak up a nice amount of damage. If you get too low on health, you can Shadow Dash and ghost for a quick escape.

Late game is more of the same, SU'ing, pushing lanes, tanking teamfights. Once you have all the above listed items, (Banshee's Veil is hardly ever reached, though useful when negating a spell if you do manage to procure it) you will be so hardy and nearly unkillable, you'll be able to be the leader of all teamfights. Go in when you want, your team will follow. Other team sees you, they will cower - or foolishly engage.

* Depending on whether you're interested in getting kills or being a more effective tank, you can switch out the +ability runes and quintessences with something more tank-savvy like magic resist or some extra health. Though if you play well enough and follow the listed item build, health and magic resist won't be an issue. Why not get some kills while saving the world? *

Learn to time your feints perfectly = Damage taken will be maximally reduced

Vorpal Blade all targets = Heal yourself and teammates in any situation

Shadow Dash to taunt your enemies = Hit me while I watch you die (or)
Shadow Dash to escape = Hahaha! Maybe next time sucka!

Stand United to save an ally = "ty shen"
