This is my Shen build. In this build, is a way you can lay Aggressive!
or Defensive! Making your way down the list, your gonna see WHY i picked what i picked and HOW you can/will be able to use this guide on the FIELDS OF JUSTICE to survive and carry your team through rough and smooth parts (Mostly rough since your the tank) Grabbing people to help secure KILLS with your Shadow Dash Or helping you teammates to HEAL with Vorpal Blade.
To start us off, i chose to go with the RUNES page first. IN this page, ill tell you WHY i chose these runes and HOW much of a difference they will make despite what it might look like.
So first off, i go with 9 Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist. Why? Because the extra magic resist is gonna save you when combined with these other runes and the build later and early game.
Secondly, i chose 9 Greater Mark of Desolation. This choice was made, because in the Teamwork Chapter below. You'll notice i mention having a AP range with more IMMEDIATE damage will work best with Shens new Vorpal Blade and Keep other ranged enemies at bay.
Thirdly, I went with 9 Greater Seal of Vitality because believe it or not 1 HP per a level multiply it by 9 and then by 18, it adds up and can SAVE YOU!
And last but DEFINITELY not LEAST is the QUINTESSENCES
For Quintessences i went with Greater Quintessence of Meditation THIS IS IMPORTANT! Why, You ask? Well, with Shen, he may be able to regenerate Energy fast and all but with this build you kinda depend on it sometimes outside of Shadow Dashing through enemy champions during combat, so in those cases (They happen often) it will save you.

The skill sequence for these Shen Builds are made in this PARTICULAR order because if you use it correctly. in theory, you SHOULD be able to harass without taking too much damage with a combination of Feint, then initiating Shadow Dash, then Vorpal Blade and end it by running out by the extra HP your shield gives you to escape without taking too much damage from Ranged or Melee AD/AP champions depending on how you build against who your laning against.
Now, THIS section is VERY IMPORTANT! All of HOW you nuild DEPENDS on WHO you are PLAYING against. It also depends on who your LANING against. If the enemy team is mostly AD then Build #2 AD is what you might want, BUT if your laning against the AP champs on their team but they are mostly AD then your going to want to follow BUILD #1 AP. Follow these simple rules and you'll be fine while laning using the pattern i taught you in the previous chapter.
NOW. With the summoner spells stated at the top that you should use, im again gonna explain HOW these will be good, and WHY these will be good. Heal is gonna not only save YOU, but its gonna also save your JUNGLER if you have one and he needs some help while running to you, or IF your laning with someone, it may very well SAVE them too! Exhaust helps to keep them in range of RANGED teammates, or slow them to help MELEE teammates reach them, Or it could just help you run them OUT OF LANE!,
