Ok, so this is my Lux build. (also my first ever build on this, so sorry for not being awesome like so many I've seen, ill learn asap) I'm aware that many people will think its bad, but then everyone has their own opinions.
Anyway, this is how i play and in all, I do rather well. I have bad matches but then everyone does, but I nearly always have more kills/assists than deaths if we win or lose so its all cool :D

My skill sequence is only 5 items! Yes! purely because the last item is SITUATIONAL for me and is explained in the items guide.

So my runes are pretty standard imo.
Magic pen marks x9
Clarity Seals x9
CDR Flat Glyphs x9

for quints... I generally use Mag pen again, BUT you could use Health quints if you like. Im just not keen on them tbh :P

Alternatively, you could go AP Marks and Quints, but I let the items do that instead.

standard 9 - 0 - 21 build as shown.

I put points in for ghost and clarity, but this suits my play style, I do understand everyone is different.

For SS I take ghost and Clarity.

Recently I'm taking Flash so by all means, take it if you prefer.

I take clarity as I like it. You can lane longer and harder with it :D

I know I have the runes, but with the masteries you help your team too! YOU ARE SUPPORT! act like it :D

^^ so this is the new Items section, as people below (yes you down voters :P) have made me realise that I obviously play Lux differently to... well everyone.

So to help YOU guys out more, ill give you choice :D and hopefully be able to explain why each build is ok.

When items are next to each other, I buy them at the same time. single items I buy in one generally.

BUILD 1 - My old Build
This is my original build and it worked for me. I really liked it and yes.. people don't like it :P but its here none the less. YES! I am aware HATS don't stack their unique! I've played Lux long enough to know this.

So that's my build I use most often and it works. Mix and match the Void/Heart accordingly to get the CDR when you want it. I get it 4th as that's roughly when my Ult is LvL3.

I didnt get this far, we won the match, but I would advise some form of defence. If not advise it earlier before Deathcap if you are dying a bit :/

Possible Items
So as your final item, or an item inbetween, (id suggest before HAT) these might be viable:

Lich Bane - increases your auto attack damge nicely as well as your stats. a good item but I don't auto attack near the end as things die too quickly in team fights.
Rylai's Scepter - give nice health increase and the slow for your spells is quite useful.
Frozen Heart - gives health and armour, I like it but sadly the CDR is wasted :/
Void Staff - for the mag pen, to add that little extra kick :D
Banshee's Veil - enemy Lux?? Karth? or a generally annoying AP?? get this for the protection. saved my life so many times it's unreal.

In all, I would suggest the second one, it's less wasting of the items passives etc. I'ts also more survivability which is a bonus.

Also note, your ULT is on 26.6 seconds with the second build which isn't bad, so perhaps get Blue just to make it that bit better :P

People like to get the shield last but I like to have it, it saves lives even at level one.

Max E first, then Q, then R and then W.

I always try to go MID. I do however as before I take as some characters are better when fed.

MID LANE - so your in mid.... YAY :D
last hit as per usual and harass your enemy to HELL!!! well, not too much, just enough so their health is always lowish, or half full. So when your LVL 6, its an easy kill.

Try not to go back until LVL6 at least, maybe you killed them so you can level boost and have an advantage. Be careful!!!! Dont over extend yourself! NEVER go alone if you can help it! If no one is on the map, run back! your more useful alive than dead.

In team fights, STAY BACK! and run if you need to. Don't be the enemies ace! Just run and defend. It works :D

When you reach LvL6, the combo I use is

E - Q - auto - burst E - auto - R honestly, if this doesn't kill at that level then they are lucky :P but it WILL make them run, so LvL up whilst you can :D

Use E to check bushes...... it will save your bacon!
Stun them if they tower dive with Q :D its rather fun to watch xD

Thats it..... in my experience as Lux, I can lane anyone and win. apart from them....

Fiddles heal annoys me to no end! Recently they are everywhere and I hate them early game. When he dissapears, E every bush!!! He will ult you from nowhere so keep your stun! unless he Fears you in which case... don't expect to survive :P

Ashe AD is annoying. hits like a brick early game, but a simple combo shud ward her away.... 'shud' is the key word here xD

Malphite..... damn his passive! and yes..... ive mid'ed a malphite....

Vlad - just don't get me started, im raging just thinking about it


OK, so some of you might think they are easy, and by all means, they might be but you never now who's at the keyboard, if its your day to play.... and well, you might just be better than me xD


TOP and BOTTOM lanes...
I'm not keen on these ill be honest, lvls too slow, but you must when you must.

Try to lane with some one you synergize with.. examples wud be

Blitzcrank - stun + grab = tasty
Singed - stun + FLIP!
Garen - He's your bro..... <3 him!
Ezreal - sounds weird but the two ults together..... it's so tasty I feel the pain xD

I think you get the drift :P I love Lux's stun, and sometimes if you are quick enough, I say initiate with it. Yeah its risky but your range is good enough. Throw it in, let your team pile in on the unfortunate :D Shield your team!!!!! If they are initiating... SHIELD! Karths Ult..... SHIELD! Throw it at the enemy, they run away... yes..yes they do xD A full powered shield can take TWO turret hits!!! TWO!!! tower diving?????? o.O have a SHIELD! In fact, it wont work but just throw it at minions xD

KILLSTEALING!!!! :O

Ok, so as Lux, I'm accused of this a small bit. BUT! in defence, your ult finishes people and IMO, its not about kills, its about team work.

Ok, so your chasing someone down and your team MIGHT kill them, give them 10 seconds... if they don't, LASER. If Yi thinks he can Speed away.... ULT. Trollomere is RAAAAAAAGING away... give it 3 seconds.... ULT.
Also, when your ult is on 24 secs.... USE IT EVERY CHANCE YOU GET! if they stick around, they take another 1K damage.... and another and oh wait... they are dead :D Initiate with it! Harass them at their own turrets with it! HELL, shoot the wraiths with it!
DONT shoot barons with it xD you might give your game away xD


MID GAME - gank! gank like a boss! just wack in lasers! and stuns. It works 90% of the time, just DON'T go for kills. If your team mate might die, LASER! The amount of people ive sent into an attempted but failed flee because of the sudden health drop is .... insane.
Honestly, I pride in getting more assists than kills, whilst kills give money, assists show your helping the team more IMO and thus a better SUPPORT! Also, you have TWO escapes as well as your SS. if some one is chasing you... and they will be :P stun and slow! rinse and repeat until your backed up, safe... or dead xD (Curse you WW and YI!)(Laughs at all the failed Rammus attempts to mow me down xD)

LATE GAME - mmmmmmmm, 1.1k per 24seconds I hear??? yes.. yes I do :D
Lasers every where! Make the map a damn RAVE! Make the enemy want to kill you first, make them scared so they run when they see you and laugh at their faces... MUHAHAHA, run... from Lux... xD trololol :D again, stick with your team!!! you do SO much better! IF you steal a kill, apologise, I understand it can be hard not too, (trust me I know) one a stun is thrown too late or a late laser but hey, they are dead... you are alive... simple fact states that that is much better :D

Ok, so I think I've covered the basics..... if not do say and I'll adjust. I hope it works for the people who actually read this, if not.... well, use another xD

If this is remotely successful, if jazz it up a bit :D

You are SUPPORT! so act like it! Always give aid! stun, slow and shield to help save your team if they are being chased! Whilst I've needed saving a lot from being silly, I also save too, and so will you :D

Do note!!!!! the stats at the TOP ARE wrong! Your should have near 600 AP if I remember right. so thats 1.1K dmg every 24 secs :D

Just remember, play to have fun! Your firing rainbows so tbh, your not playing for any other reason xD
