If you ask why you should play this champion.. YOU CAN TURN INTO A FURIOUS DRAGON THAT CAN MELT EVERYONE IN YOUR WAY!! :D Shyvana is very different from other melee fighters. There are many possible ways to her her, as a magic dps dealer, pure ad, or offtank. It may take a while before completely mastering how to use all her skills because of her sexy passive and her ultimate(one of the most entertaining skills :P) giving boosts for all the skills. These are some builds that I found pretty damn successful with this champion.

Burnout has amazing aoe dps, making it definite first skill to max. This skill is what allows Shyvana to jungle and clear out big wave of minions very very fast.

Twin Bite should be maxed next for more burst damage. Both hits from this skill trigger hit-on effect, meaning Madred Bloodrazor and Wit's End will help the burst damage even more!

Flame Breath does help when facing other champions, but do not relay on the damage of it. Use it first before you hit with Twin Bite.

Dragon's Decent is very neat for number of things.
1. Passively gives 25 armor and magic resist at lvl 3
2. ^Bonus is doubled in dragon form
3. Gives extra effect for rest of the skills
4. YOU CAN TURN INTO A DRAGON WHILE CARRYING YOUR OPPONENTS WITH YOU!

I like starting at either red with leash or wraiths. Clear the wolves next than the mini golems.

As for blue buff, giving it to ap carry at mid is much better since you don't really need the cdr too.

You could start ganking any lanes that you see enemy champions that are over-extending even a little. If your teammate uses exhaust, flash in and execute him/her.
