Hey I decided to make this Guide for a Friend. I saw him playing and thought, there must be more in the Champion named Shywana. I have to say that i´m a Irelia Player as my Main. So i decided to build Shyvana a little like Irelia. I think, there are a lot of Similaritys between them. :D

My Runes, i decided to choice, stands for itself.
Only by the Yellow Runes i added 3 Greater Seal of Attack Speed , because it scales so good with Shywana.
The Rest of the Runes are typical for a Solo Top Ad Champion like Greater Seal of Armor and Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist, which increases your Survivabilty very well.
Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed guarantee that you are a little bit faster. What is a little, but often also a big Advantage :D
Greater Quintessence of Attack Speed gives you a bid Attackspeed Boost, thats what Shyvana needs :D
Greater Quintessence of Desolation is exspecially for enemy Tanks very good.
Many People like to give Shyvana Greater Quintessence of Ability Power, but i think it is a bad Idea, because why you need this Early Game and waste a Quint. Only because it scales with your E so good. No you don't need extra AP still Level 6, when you get your R. But you don't want to go AP with her, so Sheen is really enough to boost your Dmg
For Masteries i recommend going full Offensive and only the Magic Resist and Armor Boost of Defense i take, because thats what you need.
First i thought Archmage's Savvy doesn't fit to her, but it does, because Ability Power is needed for your R, E, and your W in your Dragon-Ult-Form, not much, but enough.
Core Item :
The allknown Trinity is very good for Shywana, because Zeal gives Attackspeed, Phageas some Life and the passive of Sheen is just awesome.
Berserker's Greaves or Mercury's Treads -> buy Mercury's Treads by Heavy Enemy CC
Wriggle's Lantern is a must have for the Jungler, later you can sail it for Zeke's Harbinger
After you bought Trinity Force i decided to buy Aegis of the Legion, no you can ask me Why need a Jungler this, isn't it better to build her FULL AD -> No, because after Trinity Force the Champion gain a amazing Dmg and needs some Survivability. Aegis of the Legion is just perfect for this Job, because you get Life Armor, Magic Resist and an Aura for Newbie Champions, which is nice with your later Aura of Zeke's Harbinger.
Zeke's Harbinger and The Black Cleaver are perfect Items, because more Attackspeed means more Dmg and more Dragon-Ults :D
The last item i decided to buy is a Banshee's Veil because of it awesome Passive and also because you will need some more Health. Normally i would take Force of Nature, but Health Regen isn't really useful, if you haven't enough Life.
Shyvana strikes twice on her next attack. The second attack will deal 80 / 85 / 90 / 95 / 100 physical damage +% of attack damage. Both attacks trigger On-Hit effects and Fury of the Dragonborn effects.
Dragon Form: Twin Bite cleaves all units in front of Shyvana. Each unit hit will be dealt on-hit effects and grant Fury twice.
Increases your Fury very well, so if your Ulti isn't available, spam this Skill. Additionally this Skill has a nice Dmg-Output in Mid-Game, thats why i choose this Skill for Solo Lane in Mid-Game. Try to hit as many Enemy's as possible in your Dragon Form
Burnout - Shyvana surrounds herself in fire, dealing magic damage per second to nearby enemies and moving faster for 3 seconds. The movement speed reduces over the duration of the spell.
Dragon Form: Burnout scorches the ground beneath it, enemies on the scorched earth continue to take damage.
Shyvana deals 25/40/55/70/85 (+) magic damage per second to nearby enemies and moves 30/35/40/45/50% faster for 3 seconds. Shyvana's Movement Speed bonus is reduced over time.
Dragon Form: Burnout scorches the earth, continuing to damage enemies that stand on it.
This Skill is a nice AOE and Movementspeed-Buff. Use this for Farming and Escaping or Chasing.
Shyvana unleashes a fireball forward in a line that will hit the first enemy it hits, dealing 80 / 125 / 170 / 215 / 260 (+0.6 per ability power) magic damage to it and reducing their armor by 15% for 4 seconds.
Dragon Form: Flame Breath engulfs all units in a cone in front of Shyvana.
This Skill is a nice early Harass, in your Dragonform this will be a nice AOE-Debuff. If the Enemy Tank is stacking Armor, try to hit him with this, it's much easier to killing him. In your Dragonform try to hit as much as possible :D
Remember that your Ulti hasn't a Cooldown, but a Fury System. By using this Skill remember always the variable Range. The best attack is from the back with max Range, so you have more time to kill the Enemy.
E>Q>W for Solo Top
If you solo Top you will need some Harrass at Lev 1. At Level 2 you can take W for farming. Until Lev 5 i max W to 3 Grade, because Early Game is for Farming, the last 2 Grades of the W are at least by Lev 17/18
Your Q is very important, because it will deals really nice Dmg. -> Thats what i need Mid Game. Your E i like exspecially in the Dragon Form, because its AOE-Dmg and a nice Finisher
E -> Also important for Mid Game

If you like Exhaust you can take this Summoner Spell instead of Ignite, it's also good, because Shyvana has no naturally Slow, only through the Item Phage.

Contra:-On Solo-Top Lane weak early game
-No naturally Slow/ CC
Creeping / Jungling
Start off with Cloth Armor and 5 Health Potion
After that you buy Madred's Razors then Boots of Speed.
Finish your Wriggle's Lantern and builds your Berserker's Greaves.
Start your Jungle by the Blue Buff, make sure, that someone is pulling for you and def the Jungle.
After Blue ->make Wolves ->Ghosts -> Red Buff -> Golems
Ganking is the part of Jungling, which is most riskful, but needed. Start with watching your Mini-Map if somewhere Help( Your Mates has low Health, hard pushing Enemies) is needed. Many Times the Enemies offers you Changes to Gank, maybe you start with Top ganking.
After Level 6 make sure that your R is ready by Ganking, activate your W and R, so some Flames on the Ground are burning the Enemies.
In Big Team Fights your Role will be not the Initiator of the Fight, because you arn't Tanky enough, so try to come from the back or the side and focus the Squishies.
If you have your Ulti ready and now Tank is actually available (dead or there isn't even a tank oO), so you will get the Role of Initiation the Fight. Thanks to your Ult, which gives you more Armor and Magic Resist
All in All with this Guide you are a real beast and if played correctly you will own.
My Opinion is that Shyvana is really good for Solo Top and Jungle. I prefer Solo Top, because your Role in the Team is really important, because you level faster then your Teammates( except Mid-AP) and you gain very much Gold, if farmed correctly.
