Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hey guys just want to explain a few things before going to the guide.
first thing: i think shyvana is one of the most efficient junglers.
primarily because she has quick camp-clear and early ganks.
secondly you have probably already noticed that my 2 setups for Shyvana is very much the same. that's because i use the same principle in my setups.
keep in mind that this is my first build, please give any comment you think will improve the guide, anyway i hope it helps :)
Pros / Cons
earlygame burst with E-Q combo
high defenses endgame
very strong with AS
reliable on melee
low Dmg on range
vulneable to slow early-game
i chose my runes pretty carefully and i suggest taking magic resist runes for both solo and jungle, i choose MR p. lvl. runes because you ussually go against a bruiser with physical damage and the AP at mid wont be a problem ntill mid-late game where they have alot of AP.
You can take full ArP or full AD Marks for solo top lane. I use the combination for a good early-game burst agaist any enemy laners, most solo top champs has high basic armor. i use quitessences pretty loose in solo lane, i use AS for the focus on shyvanas passive. In jungle i use AS for marks because it provides the strongest burst against enemies with low armor, and i use flat AD for quint becaause of the high early-game burst this combo gives me a high enough early burst to gank at lvl 2 after with red buff. The runes have many good combinations for either burst, substained dmg and so on, but seal should ALWAYS be flat armor for early survival
when i chose masteries for shyvana i knew that my itembuild would be a 70/30, 70% defense 30% offense, so i chose for defensive masteries, though my jungle and solo masteries mostly are the same there is alittle difference. For solo the damagereduction is the % mastery and for jungle i chose the flat reduction and took summoners resolve for ekstra gold on smite.
as i said before i use a mostly defensive itembuild because shyvana is usually ending up being the off-tank/bruiser of the team. there isn't much more to say about my items, the build is made with warmogs armor as center. atma'a impaler gives good AD from the health Warmog's armor provides and force of nature's passive with the 0.35% regen p. sec. gets pretty high with warmogs and a frozen mallet end-game instead of wriggle's for the slow on-hit effect, helps alot in chasings and teamfights. as jungler i buy frozen mallet as my primary hp item and focus more on the offensive for ganks, as well as keeping wriggle's for free wards at baron and drake
the skill sequence isn't absolute but i recomend to max either burnout or twin bite before the 2nd ult lvl (lvl 11). Flame breath should be maxed last since it won't do much mid-end game anyway. cosider if you want flamebreath lvled at lvl 3 for the earlier harash, situational.
when jungling i max Burnout early for the increased movability to get faster around the map for ganks and buff and of course for the chase of enemies.
i chose flash/exhaust for my solo shyvana but other setups can be exhaust/ignite, teleport/flash, teleport/exhaust, flash/ignite or teleport/ignite. but i flash/exhaust as the best, depends on playstyle.
when going solo top with shyvana my most reliable farming comes from twin bite and flame breath to lasthit. burnout is used as a secondary AoE farm. i max the twin bite first for an increased damage so i can lasthit quicker. keep in mind that autoattack on tanky minnions are sllowed as shyvana to reduce the cooldown on twin bite.
when jungling as shyvana remeber there are two main options;
1. sustained jungle (wolf, blue, wraith, golem, back, red)
2. quick/early gank (wraith, red, gank, closest blue, wolf)
on the first it is important to remember thta blue buff only provides cdr since shyvana dont use mana. on the first as well, you can keep cool and gnak whenever it is needed.
I prefer the 2. route. when using the second route it is very important to see how mid and solo top fares, and try going for the red buff closest to the top lane. i know this can be difficult when starting at bottom of the map. start with the wraits at 1.40 and move on to the red buff at 1.55. and after that i ussually gank mid to give my mid laner a hyge advantage in the laning phase. but a gank on top can be necessary or you can plan it with your top laner to give him the advantage you would've given to your midlaner
