Introduction

Hi all.

This is my first guide at mobafire.com

Im not english so I'll try my best at this lenguage, forget my mistakes :)

Why pick Shyvana at solotop:

1)AWESOME ability to farm creeps with Wriggle's Lantern + Burnout(W)
2)Very good sustain with Twin bite + Lifesteal(Lantern)
3)AWESOME avoiding ganks with lantern's ward + flash + ultimate
4)Balanced defensive stats(at lvl 6 normally 100 Magic Resist and 100 Armor in normal form)
5)Nasty damage and high ability to chase with W and Q.
6)Reduces armor at percentage and does physical and magic damage (Normally tanks and bruisers go top)

Runes

I use the rune combination for Rammus. Its a cheapy and pretty effective combination of runes.

Reasons:
1)Big sustain at low lvls with armor and Magic Resist runes, making Shyvana tanky.
2)Getting HP per level is good cause u will farm and, as a matter of fact, lvl up very fast.
3)Penetration + target hitted by E it's equal to nearly 20 effective tatget's armor-> He takes much more damage.

U can also change Marks of penetration for Atack Speed Marks and also u can change the Quintesences for asp/armor penetration/flat HP-> Preferly armor penetration or atack speed.

But as a matter of fact, the core of this build are the defense runes.

Masteries

I've chosen this masteries cause it max the damage of Shyvana at all the time of the match. As you see, the only important thing is to have 21 points at attack.

I like 9 points at Utility cause:
1)The movement speed(U got enough armor with the runes)
2)The improved flash and teleport.

The last point at this tree can be changed with Runnic Affinity cause u can steal buffs from other players or even their own jungle. Also u can really OWN a jungler when he tries to gank u, so freebuffs :P

But u can change it with 9 points at Defensive tree

Items

The item order wants to max the feedback with Shyvana. The order of buying this items is VERY important.

I start woth Cloth Armor + 5 hp potions.
Then I pick vampirick scepter(if i can i go rush wriggle's lantern).
Then I buy movement 1 boots and If i can null magic mantle for get Magic resistance balanced with armor.
Then i buy recurve bow and rush it to Wit's End->It activates proc and add to E's pro(more or less +70 damage each hit)

Then I make mercury Treads ->Less CC on you so u can destroy em all faster :P

Then i'm gonna make trinity force, the order of items is: Phage, then Sheen, then Zeal and trinity. The reasons: Slow and hp of Phage(U have 50% chance to slow with twin bite), the feedback of sheen and Q and then Zeal.

By now u have the most important part of your build done, so u can choose the next items.
I pick Zeke's for the carry and Atma for the crit, little bit more DMG and armor for tower diving.

Skill Secuence

Engage with W, hit them with Q and make them get away. When no minions are close to the target, use E on him to reduce armor and activate the proc.

U can use your ultimate to make damage, knock teamfighters back(A little time for your team to burn 'em all or even to scape) and primary to get bonus defenses and abilities bonus effects.

I reccomend u to star a teamfight always with ultimate so u can engulf em with E, hit em all with Q(Nasty lifesteal in area) and the bonus of burnout (U are a little Singed "Dont Chase the Shyvana!!").

U Dont need to kill, just give em fear and give u farm

The most important thing about this char is the FF->Fear and Farm.

When u are at solotop u have to probe the enemy that u are the boss. When he aproaches to hit u, activate W, run toward him, hit him with Q and make him run with 30-50% less Hp. Then u just have to farm and repeat the "harras" to make sure of he's AFRAID of the dragon.

The key of this char is the farming capability, so u can early get 200 minions when the other just have 75.

If u cant stand in a Teamfight, just farm for a few minutes and try it again ;)

Summone Spells

I pick Teleport for the mobility and flash for the capability to get in or get out in a fight.

I think that flash is very importat bu u can use other spells:

-Exhaust
-Ignite
-Clease(If they got too much CC)
-Suge-> I don't reccomend it but its nice cause have feedback with E and ultimate.
