I use 21/6/3
On Toplane Shyvana becomes an AD Carry.
I build for 21 on Offense to deal more dmg on all targets and to easier end the fight.
6 on Defense to % Bonus on Armor and Magic Resist
and 3 on Utility for the Bonus of 1.5% Movement Speed which is really usefull on Shyvana.
Because of my build i can build these Masteries 21/6/3. this build just gots 1 AD Item (Hydra) and im also really tanky. So go for Damage and not for Fulltank!!

The Items are also Shown above!
Starting Items:
I Start with a Long Sword , 3 HP Potions and the Ward Trinket. You could also start with a Doran's Blade or Doran's Shield for defensive plays or faster HP regeneration.
The starting Items Long Sword or Doran's Blade can also be changed for Boots.
Laning Phase vs. AP
It is really hard to farm against an AP champion. For example Teemo is one of the hardest. They are going to poke your life down so we need some Magic Resist.
We try to farm enough gold to instant buy Spectre's Cowl.
If you could buy this go for Tiamat and Boots after to farm very easy.
If the Enemy Champion deals a lot of AP Dmg Upgrade your Item to Spirit Visage.
Laning Phase vs. AD
Against an AD Top Laner it isnt really hard to carry. You need to stay defensive and fast finish all Minions. Try to Poke your Enemy with your Flame Breath (E) all the time and get tons of Gold from the Minons.
First Item you buy is Giant's Belt to stay longer and Tiamat to farm faster.
Now upgrade your Giants Belt into Sunfire Aegis.
Endgame Phase
Now you have to check all Lanes and buy what is needed. My Full build is shown above and you need to buy the item that is needed in Teamfights.
First i build for Ravenous Hydra to get more Lifesteal and stay longer in Fight/ Lane. I Take Ravenous Hydra because it is a very good combination with Twin Bite and Burnout you can deal AoE dmg all the time and stack the effect of Ravenous Hydra with Twin Bite again of the doubled amount.
If you're fed right now you can build for Trinity Force first.
If your not build for Spirit Visage (against more AP dmg), Sunfire Aegis, Warmogs Armor or Randuin's Omen before.
In the End you can decide if you really need an Warmogs Armor or better build for a Guardian Angel or a Randuin's Omen. Id propose Warmogs Armor because its really hard to kill you with 4000 HP and such a DMG output! Randuin's Omen is also very nice to play. If you activate the item it's really easy for you to follow an enemy in combination with Burnout. But my favorite is Frozen Mallet with this item you can slow with every attack and these makes you to the perfect AD Tank Carrier!
This Item build is combined to get Shyvana into a really hard Lane Pusher. With Ravenous Hydra you deal more AoE dmg in Teamfights. Thats why I prefer Ravenous Hydra instead of Blade of the Ruined King. You can switch between these two items but my decision for a bigger dmg output is Ravenous Hydra.

My main summoner spells are:
I take Teleport to carry the other lanes. If you can farm on toplane you can fastly get really OP. So i use Teleport to gank or support other lanes. For this you need a vision all over the map. With the update 3.14 TP got really usefull on Shyvana. If your team needs some help far away from minions or turrets they can easily set a ward into their near and you can use TP to jump to them.
You can also defend Turrets on mid and botlane with Teleport
You're able to do some fast engages, that why Teleport is a really nice combination with your ultimate Dragon's Descent.
I take Flash because its like a 2nd Ultimate of Shyvana. You can use Flash to do some engages or to escape over walls. So if you havent 100% Fury it can save your life.
In fight it is also really usefull to Flash over walls to follow your enemy to get an ace. Dont get too greedy or it can mean your death..
Ignite can also be used to deal more dmg on enemies or to dont follow them into the turret. I dont like Ignite on Shyvana because your movement speed is really high and your also really tanky so you can easily follow an enemy into a turret and deal 2-3 hits more on him to get a kill.
Ghost is a really nice on Shyvana. Ghost makes you faster. It is impossible to run away from you if you have Ghost. In combination with Trinity Force which gives you a 2 second bonus of 20 movement speed.
Exhaust is also as nice as Ghost it makes the enemy slower that you can easier follow him with Burnout. But if you have to run away from about 2-5 champions its harder to run away with Exhaust because you can just slow 1 of them and with Ghost you take a 10 second bonus of 27% movement speed.
Exhaust is a really nice Combination with Ghost that makes it more easier to catch more of them in teamfights.

Farming is really important on Shyvana. In early game try to get every single minion. As faster you are, as faster you can use Teleport usefull and support your team with it.
I start to level up my ''w'' skill burnout]. You could also start with ''q'' [[twin bite to get single minions.
You'll kill the minions really fast from level 3 and it is really important to set a ward into the jungle bush if you wont get ganked.
Since i got Sunfire Aegis and Tiamat i try to stay on my lane.
After that you can go on other lane's ganks and carrying.

In my opinion, Shyvana is one of the most usefull Champions in Teamfights.
With Shyvana you deal tons of AoE dmg. If the enemy team is balled up your team can get an ace in a really short time. While youre using Ravenous Hydra every single basic attack deals AoE dmg and in Combination with your Skills and the dmg of the whole Team you can focus 1 on another easily.
One of the most necessary points is how to use your Ultimate Dragon's Descent:
It is really necessary to wait until you see you can deal a lot damage to them. I normally use ultimate when i can see someone of the enemies try to poke my mates and stays alone in front of their team or they are balled up (You need a really fast reaction to use Dragon's Descent in the right way). Mark the focus enemy before that your team knows who to focus. This makes focusing easier. After that activate Burnout jump in or better over the whole enemy team with Dragon's Descent to deal most dmg with Burnout. Directly after you landed use Flame Breath to mark everyone of them. This is very very necessary because with the passive effect of Flame Breath you deal bonus magic damage equale to 2% of their maximum health. Now instant spam Ravenous Hydra, Twin Bite and Burnout to deal the most damage. You will deal tons of damage like this because youre really tanky that they wont focus you as first. While theyre focusing the adc which has to stay little bit more behind the team youre dealing so much damage that it is nearly impossible for them to win a teamfight if your Team is up for good Teamplay!!
You need to think about or better know about how many teammates are next to you and how many enemies are in the group. So if you start a 3 vs. 5 it can mean victory for the enemy team.

Shyvana's Lore
A half-breed born from the union between dragon and human, Shyvana searched all her life for belonging. Persecution forged her into a brutal warrior, and those who dare stand against Shyvana face the fiery beast lurking just beneath her skin.
Dragonkind considered Shyvana's impure blood an abomination, and she spent her youth pursued relentlessly by one cruel drake. Constantly on the run, she and her father, an outcast dragon, never knew a lasting home. A brutal reflection of countless battles, Shyvana grew hateful and savage. After years of strife, her father finally fell to the other dragon, but not before gravely wounding his foe. Furious with grief, Shyvana pursued her father’s murderer as he fled north to recover. There she encountered a group of humans on the trail of the same drake. Though the men looked upon her in fear, their leader approached Shyvana peacefully. He introduced himself as Jarvan IV , the Prince of Demacia, and offered to aid Shyvana in her quest for vengeance. Together they hunted down and confronted the vicious dragon that had slain her father. Shyvana did not expect the men to survive, but in the clash of fire and steel, Jarvan and his men fought with strength she had never believed humans to possess. The ironclad warriors drove their foe into submission, and Shyvana struck the final blow, tearing the beast's heart from it's body. Inspired by her ferocity, Jarvan offered her a place in the ranks of his elite guard. Shyvana could still see fear in the eyes of his men, but she longed for a true home. Trusting Jarvan's word, she accepted his offer and now serves as a Demacian warrior. Though her human allies admire her power, they keep their distance. Shyvana strives to repay the prince’s kindness with the power of the dragon within, but she cannot help but wonder if the humans are right to fear her.
