Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
First and foremost The Items, Runes & Masteries are my typical build for Ashe This build doesnt apply for all Ranged AD Carries but the goal as a Ranged AD Carry is the same for every champion.
As a ranged AD carry you should always be going to the bottom lane with a Support champion as a partner
Your starting items will depend on who your lane partner is
If your support has a heal and can sustain you, Ex. Taric, Soraka, then start with a Doran's Blade otherwise Boots of Speed and 3x Health Potion
Now the Item choices are standard, However they WON'T ALWAYS BE THE SAME EVERY GAME.
Your main objective as a RANGED AD CARRY is to get as FED as possible so you can buy items to DESTROY the enemy team. Now there are 2 ways to get fed. Through champion kills & assists and Farming.
Last hitting=Letting the minions attack each other till their hp is low enough for you to give them a killing blow. This is the SAFEST most EFFECTIVE way to farm minions early game, it is your DUTY to get as much FARM as POSSIBLE.
ROOKIE MISTAKE Don't stand still or stand in the brush ESPECIALLY against a champ like Blitzcrank whose Rocket Grab will screw you over.
You don't want to push your lane because their creep wave will be at THEIR tower and thats dangerous, you are calling for a gank from the enemy jungler and while the enemy will lose farm, you will lose some too
However, you dont want their creep wave at YOUR tower either because you will lose farm
typically You want to stay in lane long enough for you to get Berserker's Greaves and a Doran's Blade.
TIP: A good rule of thumb is to have around 100 Creep Kills at the 15:00. You typically should stay in lane till atleast level 6 but stay in lane as long as POSSIBLE to maximize the amount of farm you get.
By around level 7 you should have enough gold for a B. F. Sword
But Imagine you are in this following scenario:
The game started and its around 4:00 in, you started with Boots of Speed and 3x Health Potion
You are level 6 and already got a double kill and have a nice amount of gold. so on your second trip you have about 1800 gold, at this point FORGET THE Doran's Blade AND BUY A B. F. Sword And rush Infinity Edge Always remember that it never huts to buy a couple of Health Potion if you have a little extra gold since they are cheap and can allow you to stay in lane longer and get more farm.*REMEMBER* Your goal is to get as much farm as possible so stay in lane as LONG AS POSSIBLE without giving the enemy team a free kill.
However, If you aren't really doing that great and you are pretty well even with the enemy ad carry in creep kills, Follow your build and buy the Doran's Bladex2
Then once you get your Infinity Edge You can start being more aggressive
First and foremost
Infinity Edge Is what Does the damage. It is your MAIN source of damage because of the Incredible 250% crit damage
Phantom Dancer ENHANCES your dps because of the ridiculous attack speed and the insane crit. Movement speed is just a bonus
The Bloodthirster POWERS your Infinity Edge because of the +100 Attack damage once you get it stacked. Plus it gives you life steal which helps sustain your life obviously.
So these are your MUST HAVE items on a ranged ad carry such as Ashe
Berserker's Greaves NO BETTER BOOTS THAN THESE FOR ASHE.
Infinity Edge THIS IS YOUR MAIN SOURCE OF DAMAGE.
Phantom Dancer THIS ENHANCES THE CRIT AND THE DAMAGE OUTPUT FROM YOUR Infinity Edge
The Bloodthirster THIS MAKES YOUR Infinity Edge STRONGER PLUS YOU GET LIFE STEAL
Now you have 2 more items to fill and these 2 items depend on your enemy team
*If they are REALLY squishy*
then either build Another The Bloodthirster OR Phantom Dancer EITHER ARE GOOD
if the team is really TANKY or has a tank that is screwing you up
Build Last Whisper Madred's Bloodrazor or The Black Cleaver I would personally choose Last Whisper Because it is the cheapest and offers a TON of armor pen, but it is your choice
Now your 6th item is YOUR Choice however its preferably a Defensive item
The Bloodthirster Gives you even more damage and more lifesteal, what more could you want.
Guardian Angel Gives you armor, magic resist, and a revive. Good if you are your teams only carry.
Phantom Dancer More attack speed and nearly 100% crit, Lots of dps with this one
Warmog's Armor TONS of health from this item, good for being able to take a Finales Funkeln or two.
Banshee's Veil Health, Magic resist, and a shield, Another good option for you
Quicksilver Sash Magic Resist a Cleanse and is Cheap, VERY good item when facing a Malzahar Nether Grasp or a Warwick Infinite Duress
Now That you are all fed and geared out its time to go kill some weaklings.
There isn't much for me to say here but learn about POSITIONING.
You are a monster killer, but you will die in seconds. NEVER be at the front of your team otherwise you will be focused and dead before you can even say Dang.
Stay behind your tank and as Ashe Wreck havoc with your arrow's. use Enchanted Crystal Arrow to stun the enemies and Find out who is on your priority list to kill First.
NEVER focus the tank, EVER. The enemy tank is LAST on your priority,
You wanna focus the people on their team that deal the most damage. That will most likely be the enemy AD carry but it isn't always, as it depends on how fed their carry got. Generally, Focus the most fed first, then work your way down the chain.
Remember to stay behind but with your team mates, never be at the front of the lines, and look out for assassins such as Shaco, Twitch, Evelynn.etc
As Ashe one common mistake is that people keep their Frost Shot toggled on CONSTANTLY. Do not do that. Only toggle Frost Shot when you are Chasing and are running from an enemy champion.
Do not waste Enchanted Crystal Arrow to escape from a Shaco that is right on top of you and is guaranteed to kill you no matter what. Save it for team fights. Enchanted Crystal Arrow is one of those ultimate's that can completely change the outcome of a team fight for better or for worse.
Don't be hesitant to use Hawkshot to check a bush before you enter or check for a gank, this move can save your life, your team mates, Uncover an enemy team taking Baron/Dragon. It has many uses.
TIP: When chasing an enemy champion launch Hawkshot a bit in front of them so you don't lose them, maybe even uncover an enemy team mate about to counter gank you.
Volley while this is your bread and butter as Ashe dont over spam it, it will DRAIN your mana and can mess up a gank just because you had no mana to use your Enchanted Crystal Arrow.
