Preface

This is simply a build and reasoning to support it. It is not a guide although I include some helpful hints. Therefore, if you are new to League of Legends, this is not the place to be looking at. Sorry.

Btw, this build lists the CORE build, feel free to purchase different items to counter any enemies you might face.

Introduction

Everybody likes to argue about the true role of a Teemo, whether he be a carry, or the support, or the warder. This build basically supports his role of a warder with the fastest boots in the game and with the item that offers the most CDR and that synergies fairly well with Teemo.

Masteries

These masteries add all the CDR available while allowing more magic penetration and such.

Runes

Unless you plan on going AD Teemo with this build, magic penetration is probably the way to go.
The AP and magic regen runes support his role of warding while also dealing a noticeable amount of damage too.

Summoner Spells

Aside from warding, Teemo's best quality would be his supporting role. With your movement speed, you can pop in and out exhausting their carry. Flash is there to help you perform this task, and also so that Teemo can perform a proper escape by Flashing, then using his move quick.

Skill Sequence

Teemo's poison is probably the most feared skill of all time. If the opponent isnt careful, the poison will kill them even if they try to run. Prioritizing poison first also allows Teemo to keep lane control fairly easy too.

Other then that, some people may want to max move quick first for more speed to move around easier, although I personally think the dart is better because it gives Teemo a strong damage output during the early levels.

Items

Laning mid: start with doran's shield, no questions asked.
Solo laning: Doran's shield, no more questions asked.
Side laning: this is where the doran's might help, but i like the boots for easier harasses.

The core build has already been explained in some previous section, no need to go over that again. However, after you finish these 2 items, you have many choices you can make. I wont dwell too much over this, but the common choices would be, ap, ad, or some hybrid with lots of attack speed. Actually, those are the only choices, dont know why you would want to go tank anyways.

Helpful Stuff

Use your dart to blind, not to hurt unless there's no one to blind, then hurt em with your big bad dart.

Turn your move quick off when you approach enemies since its going to be turned off anyways, saves those few extra seconds that WILL save your life.

Never initiate, NEVER go into teamfights, NEVER towerdive. Just remember that a Teemo is ALWAYS focused.

Wondering why I'm not telling you where to ward and all that?
BECAUSE! this is a build and not a guide, you should probably already know where to place your shrooms.

BIGGEST MISTAKE(S) A TEEMO CAN MAKE!
Always have a shroom ready, cannot stress how many times it can save your life to have a shroom in your little baggy. Never put shrooms side by side, the enemy wont get double slowed or double poisoned, its only going to extend the duration for like 0.0000000000000000000000001 seconds. Instead, if you want shrooms close to each other, put them at least 3 Teemo lengths from each other. Always use shrooms to form an escape route for your team, sooner or later, the team will have to go back.

Some Teemo's think oracles ruin their shrooming. First, it makes the enemies take time destroying your shrooms instead of destroying your team. Second, shrooming bushes practically kills the use of oracles on you. Third, practically no one in their common sense will destroy the shroom you just set in the middle of the team fight. In fact, they dont even care about it half the time.
