The Reasons I Prefer these Runes Are

• Magic Pen. Marks work well for farming, as well as early game damage.
• Flat Armor Is Nice for Earlier Skirmishes
• Magic Resist Per lvl Because Most Items Singed uses has Armor
• I choose % health Quints over flat health because it gives you more mid to late game.

Teir 1 Choices:
Can help you with initiation, Kiting, and Escaping
Helps Finish off killing enemies early game.
Helps you to return to top lane quicker and gives a teamglobal presence.

Teir 2 Choices:
I only take this if the other team has heavy cc.
Not much needed by singed because of his slows and the amount of his health.
You Don't really need heal because of your health, but if you think you really need it take it.
Can be used to engage or escape, I still prefer to use Ghost for this

Never Use These:
You shouldn't have mana problems because of how much you have.
This is only use on Dominion and this is not a Dominion Guide.
You Should never take this, because you have runes and masteries that replace this.
What would you do with this? Smite the cannon minion?
Heal Would be a better choice.

Ability Explanation and Preview

Empowered Bulwark: Increases Singed's Health by .25 for each mana point he has.
What is this? His Passive
What does it do? This causes Singed to be able to have great amounts of mana and health.

Poison Trail: Singed lays a poisonous trail which lasts for 3.25 seconds and deals 22 / 34 / 46 / 58 / 70 (+30% of ability power) magic damage per second to enemies for 3 seconds.(This is a toggled Ability)
What is this? His Q ability.
What does it do? This leaves a Trail of Poison which lasts for a few seconds in the path that Singed chooses.

Mega Adhesive: Singed throws a vial of mega adhesive on the ground causing all enemies who touch it to be slowed by 35 / 45 / 55 / 65 / 75% for as long as they are in the adhesive and for 1 second once they are out of it.
What is this? Singed's W ability.
What does it do? It slows the enemies down. This is great for engaging and using to defend yourself while being tower dived, and helps escape.

Fling: Singed flings an enemy over his shoulder (500 units), dealing 100 / 150 / 200 / 250 / 300 (+100% of ability power) magic damage.
What is this? His E ability.
What does it do? It is used to engage, fling enemies into your tower and into your poison, this can be used to save an ally. If you get flung into his team, you can also call this the "Ultimate Screw-over"

Insanity Potion: Singed drinks a potent brew of chemicals, granting him 10 / 15 / 20% crowd control reduction and 35 / 50 / 65 ability power, armor, magic resistance, movement speed, health regeneration per 5, and mana regeneration per 5 for 25 seconds.
What is this? Singed's Ultimate.
What does it do? Can Help with engaging, Escaping, and Surviving Tower Dives.

For the items I have picked 5 items that are the main ones you should always buy. I left the 6th slot empty for your choice of a situational item.

For the situational defensive item, the best picks are Warmog's Armor, Runic Bulwark, and Guardian Angel.

If you feel that you need more health or need to increase you health regen pick Warmog's Armor.
If your team needs more survivability your best pick would be Runic Bulwark.
If you are the first one to die in team fights several times I would grab the Guardian Angel. The reason you should pick the Guardian Angel is because the less your alive in teamfights, the less damage you can deal.

For the situational offensive item, the best choice would be either Liandry's Torment or Shurelya's Battlesong. I don't really recommend Seraph's Embrace, but I consider it a offensive item because of the amount of mana it gives.

Liandry's Torment is most useful if the enemy is stacking health, or if your opponents keep escaping you with little health. This also deals more damage because of your Rylai's Crystal Scepter slows which increases damage from Liandry's Torment. I also find Morellonomicon useful due to the heal reduction to the whole team.

I only buy Shurelya's Battlesong if my initiations are failing, or if our support did not get it.

Farming: One of the best ways to farm as Singed is to run ahead of your minion wave and poison enemy minions. Once you have Rod of Ages, and your minions are at enemy the tower you can run past it and farm the minions. If you have been playing aggressive and if you have good damage, the enemy top laner will most likely not try to stop you.

When your Jungler ganks: Have your jungler initiate, then use your Fling and then place Mega Adhesive in their best possible route for escaping. While doing this have Poison Trail active the whole time if you can.

When being ganked: If you have Insanity Potion I suggest using it and letting your enemies get you a little bit low, but run while having your health dropped. While running have your Poison Trail active and once you get to your tower Fling the closest opponent into your tower and use Mega Adhesive right in front of them. If you follow this, and if they chase you to your tower your likely to survive that gank and get a kill or two.

Team Fights: You will want to initiate with Insanity Potion, Ghost, and Mega Adhesive. Then you will want to fling the closest or highest priority enemy back into your team and your Poison Trail. Careful with your Fling after you have initiated because you can cause it to backfire such as causing your allies to miss skill shots, helping enemy escape, or flinging their tank into you.

The only reason I have paced this here is for the ability preview and for some tips on laning if you would prefer to see them instead of read them.

Singed is a solid Solo Top champion who excels at farming, initiating, tanking, and dealing decent damage. Singed can be used as a Tank, Ap damage, and AP off tank. Overall I find Singed a Fun and Solid champion to play. It might Take you a while to get the hang of Singed but once you do, You'll enjoy playing him. Can I spam my Q all day if I have enough mana? You can, but I'd advise against doing so. The only times you need to use your Q is when you are: Farming, Fighting, Initiating, Being Chased, and Killing Baron/Dragon/Blue.

Any More tips on Singed? When using your Mega Adhesive aim it carefully otherwise you have just wasted some mana! When Using Fling, If your allies are skill shot or placement requiring based, careful which way you fling because you can cause you ally to miss their skill shot or put your own ally out of place. When Flinging an enemy into your team, make sure its not the tank!
