Sivir Build Guide by Meridianprime

Guide looks promising but im not sure that flat hp and mana runes are good. I think hp per level seals and mana regen per level glyphs or magic res per level glyphs would be better.

I understand your point of view, however the per level runes either mana or HP are better when you reach level 7. Before that flat amount is better. Since she is very squishy at the beginning in combination of a still weak Boomerang Blade. When hp per level reaches a larger amount then flat HP she is well equiped to protect her from being harassed (level 7 and 9 are upgrades of boomerang blade level 4 and 5) In addition to the per level, the attack rate of the enemy is increasing more mid/end game then the extra hp the runes would give her. Since she is not a tank those runes arent boosted much of effectiveness by her armor. Therefor its better to focus on a more effective survivability/durability in the beginning then the minor (maybe not even a hit more) chance of living at mid/end games. However mana regen would be a good alternative I recon. You gain more overtime, but lack the amount of burst mana usage. It will be around 5 minutes of playtime for the mana regen runes to restore as much mana as the flat amount would give you. So I see the good use and I will test it out for sure. Thank you for your input! |

I definitely think it needs some health and magic resist in the form of a BV or something. But otherwise, it is a very in depth, and aesthetically pleasing. Good work.

Amazing guide, I can see you put a lot of thought into it, looks like it has everything I'd normally look for in an AD carry. |

I just cant find 48,15 hp from flat hp runes useful. I think, best runes would be flat armor seals and magic res per level glyphs (going to try this combo soon). Clarity and Spell shield will cover mana issues.

You definately make a good point there. And I strongly advice beginner Sivir players to aim for BV or one of the Middleman paths. Also its about teamwork. If your team fails to distract them / slow them or pick off a few kills, YOU run away from the turret or you face death for sure. Also it require you to know the spell list block of all the champs for optimum outcome. And trust me... I gladly take down your turret, force your team to abort pushing OUR lanes and maybe take one of you down before I face annialation. Personally I started out with Warmog/Impaler (yeah yeah laugh) as 2nd and 3rd item. I live for sure but drill turrets like a baby uses a spoon. Overtime while learning map awareness I noticed I dont get ganked so much anymore. So I altered my strat for a more offensive build. Hence resulting eventually in the one mentioned in this guide. Yes, matches arent the same everytime and facing random people with random strats as well as 40 different champs. Having back up plans is a sheer must! I hope you find my guide sufficient for all your matches playing as Sivir. (or other AD Carry) Thanks for your vote and I do my best to adjust it where needed. |

Clarity and Spell shield will cover mana issues. I just compared the Flat HP runes + Flat Mana runes with your suggestion to take Armor and Magic resist per level. Results show a growing increase of Physical health effectiveness from level 1 to 18. As for magic HP effectiveness its much lower at early levels but a strong increase late game. Since most champs have auto attacks in the start and strong spells at the end, makes the scale balanced. Very well a viable option to pick as runes!!! Thank you for bringing this to light. However when thinking about my manapool, I re-reconsidered its viability. Not being able to throw your Q at early game, either for extra harassing purposes or a few quick visit in the jungle. Not being able to use an extra Spell Shield without calling back home or allready use your clarity (which I try to swap in for Exhaust as more viable) just weight more then those small more extra HP effectiveness. Playing carefull covers up your weakness as well. If it really matters those 15 (at level 1) up to 166 (at level 18) extra health effectiveness I calculated, then you just were not carefull enough. Plus once they start bashing you... you're as good as dead (especially late game) Its like DPS... the highest of DPS results from a balanced AD * AS. As well as HP effectiveness results from HP * armor. But also durability in lane results from HP durability (how long you last and can handle hits) * Mana durability (how much you can still output in protecting yourself by abilities). I will upload a recording where it show that someone low on HP but has enough mana to cast is a threat for life. These are my findings. I will test your rune setup to see how it effects her primairy role and her early game. |

I know you said you were going to make a build, and by God did you make a good one. The detail here is sheer - I haven't read through all of it yet but what i've seen is well worthy of an upvote :). Congrats man, I hope the build goes far, I see no reason why it should not. And thanks for the mention of course although I didn't really do anything :>. |
