Threats to Sivir with this build
|Ashe||Sivir is a strong pick vs. Ashe because her only damage ability pre 6 is easily spell shielded with E. Post 6 try and spell shield her ult and you should do really well in lane.|
I am currently in Gold 4 and have been playing this game since June of 2013. Recently I have taken a liking for Sivir for Ranked 5's and Solo/Duo queue due to her high mobility and ability to help the team with engage and disengage. Sivir is my go to marksman because of her great mobility and how powerful and game changing her ult can be for positioning and engagements.
Lets talk Runes,
With the release of Season 5 we saw some nerfs to the LS Quint to 1.5% from 2%. Due to this change I run 3 AS Quints because you get a 3% LS bonus from the Doran's Blade start. Armor Seals, and Magic Resist Glyphs are also quite standard. Take a Full Attack Damage marks as well to compliment your Attack Speed Quints.
There is really only one thing important to note about the build above. When facing a tanky team (Which is quite often due to Cinder hulk even after the nerfs) it is important to buy a last whisper before Bloodthirster because you need the Armor ignorance.
Pros / Cons
Pros and Cons
-Good poke in lane
-Has a spell shield to block abilities
-Has a great ultimate for engage and disengage
-Not mechanically strenuous
-Low range for an ADC/Marksman (500)
-Doesn't scale amazingly due to only 2 damaging abilities and not high scaling damage
-Ult takes some getting used to
-No escape or CC
It is very important especially in solo queue to communicate when you are going in. A simple ping lets your team now that you are ready to engage and start dishing out some heavy damage. Be sure to also use your ult to help your team out of a sticky situation if the opportunity presents itself.
Lets talk about Ranked!
Sivir is a great Solo/Duo queue ADC/Marksman. Although she is good for Solo queue I find her a very strong ADC as well in Ranked 5's play. Because you are generally in a Skype call with friends it allows you to communicate much better about your Ult and positioning wise. It also allows you to get some better peel.
Overall we can see that Sivir can be a very strong pick for the ADC/Marksman role in both Solo/Duo queue and Ranked 5's play. Remember to know your match ups and play to them accordingly. Always try to use Q and W to out poke the opposing ADC and gain an edge in lane if you want to all in.
Thanks for reading this guide. Looking forward to seeing you on the Rift!!
There are SO MANY Sivir's I see in Ranked and in Normals that just can't seem to use a Sivir ult properly. So as a Sivir that knows how to use her ult I'm here to teach you a couple tips and tricks to succeed with one of the best Ultimates in the game.
