Welcome to my first guide on MobaFire, please excuse any errors in grammer or typos. I look forward to some constructive feedback on my guide. The reason I made this guide is that I was tired of playing Sivir and getting pushed out of the way and more importantly being KSed and left to die. I know sivir isnt as important late game as some characters,but she is still important to the team, esp. when played as a tank. Some items are not real tanky and i understand that, however they give you the damage needed to be effective.
I chose these masteries because they're basic of any tank. The defense is for well... tanking of course and the utility is for mana regen. Sivir is a flexible champ who can even be chosen to tank mid as i usually do. Yet prior to this build, when i midded i always got killed late game and ksed, so there are your masteries for tanking! If you choose a different layout for example offesne over utility, make sure you build suits that too oryou might have a broken build. the defense is a must since you are tanking and Sivir has little defense to start.
These runes are pretty common and straight forward. The marks are for early game kills. The seals are for HP as well as the quints. Lastly, the glyphs are formana which sivir will use up quickly. sadly there isnt really a much better replacement for mana than runes if you are tanking. These runes like your masteries are just a suggestion, not a requirement. Feel free to manipulate the build to how you see fit, that's what it's there for, to improve upon. If you don't see this as your playstyle, then simply grab another.
First we get Regrowth Pendant to start, so you have some HP regen early on, meaning you can "Chase", but sparingly. Next we pick up the Boots Of Swiftness so you can start ganking and flee if need be. Your next item should be a Giant's belt, which will give you more health meaning more lane stability and survival. Now comes your second core item, Warmog's will allow you to start tanking in a mild form. Now we add more damage to you with a Stark's Fervor, whcich will give you a better LF for 1v1's. Next is your 3rd core item and your main attack item, Atma's Impaler, a very good item for your superb tanking abilities. Your second to last item is the Aegis of the Legion which gives you minor health and good defense at a low cost. Finally you get Phantom Dancer if you have the time and/or resources to do so, but it is unlikely you will need to, because you will have won by then.
I choose to use Ghost (for escapeability) and teleport (to get the turrets, ganks, etc.) but the choice is ultimately yours. Ghost is used as a both offensive and defensive skill, so it's versatility makes it a desirable. Teleport is good for turret saves and ganks. Some other options you might consider would be Clarity, because sivir needs her mana early game, another great one would be Exhaust, good for ganks and 1v1's.
Spells not to use: Ignite, it is good early game, but late game is kind of useless esp. when your tanking, not being kited by low hp champs.
Clarivoyance, its used by people who need to predict where their target it, and you are not one of those people....
The skill sequence for Sivir is amazingly simple, focus on "Q". The reason we pick up e early game is in case you fall bahind and are at risk of rangedults (for example Lux, she ulted me and i blocked and killed her...andgot 150mana for it wewt!) "W" is used for farming, but be aware that only the first target is procted by items, which sadly means we can't kill champs through minions very well. Next we work on getting you that amazing sheild that makes Sivir look less like a support and more like a Tank. And as always get "R" whenever you can. It has multiple uses, fleeing, chasing, ganking, destroying nexus in 3.7 secs. etc. you get the point, and the is no such thing as "wasting" it. It has a low cooldown.
Pros / Cons
I know it's way outta order but....
-Great Farming Abilities means better items faster in most cases
-Super high damage with "Q"
-Kill minions and turret using "W"
-Amazing Ulti for teamfights
-squishy early game
-lots of assists (tried to fix that by tanking)
-High cost skills with low mana regen
All in all Sivir is worth the time and effort you put into her, and I hope this build will help make her a more popular champ and even maybe OPed lol, probably not though.
