I created this guide as a work in progress. I will be slowly adding more chapters as I have the time. So dont vote on the lack of content plz. I'm not going to include chapters on runes and skill sequence becuse I feel it is really not needed. This is a jungle build becuse I feel this is the only way to play skarner. Once I get soem feedback Ill take the time to add pictures and clean the guide up some.

This build is kind of the "standard build" imo. The Wriggle's Lantern and Aegis of the Legion build for a jungler is just so strong. Even though Aegis of the Legion is expected for the support to get in this meta, I feel that it is just ridiculous on the jungler. My reasoning is that since you're ganking so often, you'll be giving your teammates those auras every time you gank, making them more resistant to damage. Plus, if you get it early, that'll allow your support player to buy Shurelya's Reverie.

Next, I get Phage followed immediately by an Atma's Impaler (you can buy your boots some in between these buys. You will have enough hp to make this buy totally worth it. Not to mention, it'll make you tankier with the armor boost and increase your damage output by a significant amount. I finish off the trinity and Gunblade later for the slow and insane Damage output. Nobody should be able to get away from you without blowing ultimates or summoner spells. The extra life that trinity provides also improves the bonus AD that you receive from Atma's Impaler. If in the end you want to replace your wriggles with something else go ahead but most games simply dont last that long. This build is cheaper then other builds I have seen. Costing you 13.5k opposed to the more popular build that cost 18.7k and you never finish it.

Your thinking 12/9/9 what a troll. Let me explain. The common build for skarner is 0/21/9 I feel like there is no reason to go that deep into defense.

Utility put 9 in Utility becuse run speed and the increased buff durations is a must for jungling.

Defense nothing in the defense tree really gives you that much of an increase in def. You dont see any bennift from the health game until late game and skarner dosnt need help with his late game he needs help with his early game. So def tree really speeds up my jungling though. I get the armor and magic resit while im there and then move on.

Offense- the offense tree really help your early game ganks and your jungling speed. You get 3 extra ad 4% increase in Attack speed bring you to a 20% attack speed increase off the start. The 10% armor pen increase stacks well with your Runes and the extra 1.5% increase in damage is always nice. I feel these are better then the extra 150 health you will get to your end game in defense and the movment speed. With your W movment speed isnt that nessesary.

Skill explanations
Passive: Energize
Basic attacks lower the cooldowns of Skarner abilities by 1 second against champions and 0.5 seconds against non-champions.

Q: Crystal Slash
I use this skill to charge up my Trinity Force yet I also use this to CC my enemies. This skill also contains moderate damage and to make it even better. You can spam this skill
due to your passive and it's low Cooldown. Use this to jungle and to shred your enemies.

Tips and Tricks
•You can hit minions with this skill before hitting the champions to activate your slow.
•It is said that this skill (When charged up) doesn't deal damage to minions.

W: Crystalline Exoskeleton
This skill gives Skarner a Shield and some useful buffs. A Movement speed buff to move around the map and a strong attack speed buff to jungle. But all of this can be countered by destroying this shield so try to play this tactical. This is a great skill for skarner and it's particle effects are quite nice in my opinion.

E: Fracture
This is free Bonus sustain for Skarner , I like this skill due to its flashy particles just like the other skills in Skarner his kit. But lets get to the point, this skill doesn't offer that much sustain and damage and it has a short range. It lacks usefulness late game and it's just a last resort.

Tips and Tricks
•ANY damage inflicted by skarner consumes marks.
•You also gain health when you kill people with Fracture.

R: Impale
This is Skarner color his bread and butter, his signature move! He can use this to initiate, chase, keep in place and much more! It deals proper damage and it usually doesn't get canceled by Cleanse. This is the skill that makes Skarner truly strong because it allows him to eliminate one of the enemies in the midst of a team fight.

Tips and Tricks
•Never use this on Gangplank or Alistar , they can block suppress.
•You can spin around just before the ultimate ends, they will have to walk around you like this.
•You can still use your attacks when your ultimate is on.
•You can't use Flash when Impale is on , Ghost does work.
