The damage is fine, Skarner is not the main glassy dps otherwise he would have a blink-type spell, stronger ratios, and some type of escape. Rylais + Gunblade works amazingly together, super slow from afar. Core Items doesn't mean you don't have any luxury items late game. I don't think, I KNOW that Flash is better. The art of ganking is the element of surprise, if you simply walk up you're giving them a large chance for an escape. It's hard to react when you're frozen especially when using  Impale on one of the champions with a hard CC.For future reference, please don't downvote a guide just because it's not for your liking. You might build Skarner as a Full on DPS but i prefer a fun gluing Skarner similar to  Singed.

As much as I like the overall guide I have a question, where is DPS coming from? I mean just the AP from crystal sceptre dosent add up too all that much. With sheen he can be tanky and DPSy early on. Just a suggestion ;)

I think atma's OR rabadons are pretty much requirements though, and so is either triforce or lich bane. I have a thing against skarner's who get rylai's, I think unless your going all out AP with the nashor's, lich bane, rabadons, voidstaff, rods and whatnot, rylai's isn't really useful, you might as well get banshee's or a rod of ages straight off. Tactical Kill Steal.
