I tried this guide and I loved it, I couldn't really play Skarner at first but this really helped, thanks.

This build also works fine for duo-laning by the way, I kinda had to since we didn't have a jungler at the moment, I had some great fun.

"THE FOURTH SLOT" is actually the fifth slot.
I will explain further right now:
Starting: Lets say I picked Regrowth Pendant.
Next: Sheen

2 Items by now.

Then, Philo's Stone and Boots.

3 Items (Philo's, Sheen and Boots)

Rylai's, 4 Items. Tri-force, still 4 cuz of Sheen replacing the slot.

So, the next ones you wrote are "THE FOURTH SLOT" ending as the fifth slot.

Ok, so you SELL philosopher's stone

by 4th slot i mean the fourth REAL item.

8slots? alot of items in there are upgraded and the health potion you wont have in your backpack the entire game.

And i think i just got trolled ;P

Rylais crystal scepter only stacks with Fracture , if you want a real survivability item take ROA / Zhonyas/w,e. You take perservance instead of goodhands. You max W 2nd while fracture gives more burst and lane sustain in laning. Thus i wont vote up due to the build mistakes. You might have put alot of effort in the guide but if the build is inefficient i will have to-1.

This is mostly personal preference. I guess you could go for another item but if the item description is correct it should slow on Crystal Slash. Ill check it up and will probably change it if your right.

I take perservance instead of good hands. Yes good hands is overall alot better. But with Skarner with ghost and flash you wont die alot especially because of your W speed boost and shield.
And perservance helps regen and mana regen granted by philosopher stone and base, this gives me more lane sustainability.

I max W before Fracture because you already have lane sustain from Philosopher's stone and W is very very usefull for killing your opponent, without taking any damage. If you play it right, The shield at max level will absorb the damage they do to you. It is also maxed to keep the AS/Movement speed boost up.
I find Crystalline Exoskeleton being far better than Fracture in almost every way with this build.
