Hello everyone and thanks for reading my guide! This is the first guide I make. Im going to focus on making the guide easy to read so you dont have to sit here and read for 2 hours. Skarner has been one of my favorite champions since he was released and I think he is very good! Hope you enjoy!
Centuries ago, there lived a race of creatures as ferocious as they were wise. The brackern were unusual beings blessed with the earth's primal magic, embodied in the form of crystals. Their kind knew of an arcane ritual to bind their life's essence to a crystal, communing with the magic embedded in it. With this power, the brackern thrived in the Odyn Valley, protecting both creatures and crystals alike. Despite attacks from those looking to claim the primal magic, it seemed that nothing could get past the brackern's defenses. Nothing, that is, until the devastation of a Rune War.
A vicious battle was fought near the Odyn Valley and the unleashed chaotic magic poisoned the crystals. The brackern began to grow sick and die, and no amount of defensive magic could reverse the effects. To avoid extinction, their only course was to hibernate underground until the wars stopped. The strongest, most intelligent brackern hibernated closer to the surface to awaken first and assess the world's condition for the return of their race. The recent mining operations and violent escalation in Kalamanda were enough to awaken the first of these vanguards. When Skarner burst to the surface, he lashed out in anger and confusion. Reason eventually won out over his anger when he realized that the agents of the League who found him were simply functionaries. Skarner was invited to the Institute of War to share the brackern's story. In return, the summoners told him about the history that his kind had slept through. Much had been done to curb the unchecked use of magic since the Rune Wars, but it was obvious that the world was not yet safe for his kind to reawaken. For now, however, there is a place where Skarner can use his power to change the world into one to which his kind could eventually return: the League of Legends.

Quicksilver Sash Ruins his ultimate totally, and so does Cleanse
Skarner deals physical damage to all enemies within range. If he hits any enemies, using Crystal Slash again within 5 seconds deals bonus magic damage and slows all enemies hit for 2 seconds.
Skarner gains a shield that absorbs a certain amount of damage. The shield dissipates after 6 seconds if not already destroyed. While the shield is active, Skarner gains increased movement speed and attack speed.
Skarner deals magic damage to all enemies in a line and marks them for 6 seconds.
If Skarner damages a marked target (consuming the mark) or Fracture kills an enemy, Skarner heals himself. Each heal after the first heals half of the previous trigger until Fracture is used again.
Skarner suppresses a target enemy champion for 1.75 seconds, dealing magic damage to the targeted champion. For the duration, Skarner can move freely and will drag his victim around with him. At the end of the suppression, the target takes the same damage again.
Yes, I know some of you will complain that I'm not taking any points in the Offensive tree. I don't think
Skarner needs it, and he is more of a tank. I made masteries for offensive too here it is:
Greater Mark of Attack Damage
Greater Seal of Armor
Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist
Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage
Greater Quintessence of Life Steal
I choose Greater Mark of Attack Damage because of that extra attack damage, which makes us stronger! Same with the Greater Seal of Armor it makes us stronger and better against AD based enemies like
Vayne or Zed. I get the Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist instead of Greater Glyph of Magic Resist because i think the scaling ones are better, and you will probably meet an AD based character in lane...
I only get one Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage because i think its good to have some lifesteal for sustain with Greater Quintessence of Life Steal
It's fairly easy to farm with Skarner early game, but once you get to mid-lategame its ridicolous...
One Crystal Slash and the proc from Iceborn Gauntlet can take out the whole wave if you're fed! With that said you will get alot of farm with Skarner. Not much more to say here
Skarner has a very weak earlygame so try to stay back and farm, but once you reach level 6 and got
Impale go for a kill. The best case scenario is that you get him to your tower. If you're not fed i would not go for a kill unless i have ultimate.
Skarner is a tank. Always go to teamfights, and remember that you should be the one who initiates. Always protect your team (It's better that you die than them). Try to take down the Marksman first then switch to the enemy APC or Assassin.
Skarner has no real combo but spamming. Just go in use your Crystalline Exoskeleton, Crystal Slash and Fracture. Remember that Fracture only procs if you attack him after you've used it!
My summary is that Skarner is a very strong initiator and tank. I like him better solo top rather then
jungle as many prefer him. Why? Because I dont think he is a good ganker and fits to the new meta in jungle . Thanks for reading my Skarner guide and please give me your feedback! :)
