Hello i'm not from England or America so my english isn't perfect. I like to play Skarner as a jungler because it's fun to gank enemies and not get flamed. Normally i carry games as him so i decided to make a build after my 12/0/8 victory with him.(It's my first build so pls comment and dont downvote because you don't agree) I also won 4 rankeds with him and my stats weren't that bad. (5/0/13) (3/0/12) (8/4/19) and i still have 100% win rate

Is Skarner Worth The Whole 6300 Influence Points?

Yes Skarner is worth his price. If you want to have infinite slow, like to jungle, would like to have good mobility with one of best survi abilities and have fun with ulti that has got low CD with great attackspeed. He's an ideal champion for you. He can carry normal games and he's also a strong pick for a ranked games.(he's tier 1 jungler)

  • His ganks are weak vs Morgana
  • Depends on Items and Teammates

Greater Mark Of Desolation

These marks are good in mid/late and a bit less in early. they profide good damage by AutoAttacks and your Crystal Slash.

Greater Mark of Attack Speed
I like these ones. they're very useful all the game and synergises with your Wriggle's Lantern , Phantom Dancer and your energize of course.

Greater Mark of Attack Damage
These ones aren't best idea because they fall late game but are useful early/mid game
They profide larger critical strikes and faster killing monsters/minions


Greater Seal of Armor
They're my favourites. These ones are one of best in the whole game. They profide good early/mid but fall late game(a bit) becuse of armor penetration etc.

Greater Seal of Scaling Mana Regeneration
These ones are better for a mage but if your team needs blue buff and you have mana problems
take them. they are very strong in mid/late game.


Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist
These runes are good idea you can also take Greater Glyph of Magic Resist
but i use Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist because they profide good mid/late. On early there is tiny amount of champions that can kill you and escape succesfully.


Greater Quintessence Of Desolation

I use these ones because they boost your damage from many sources a lot like marks.

Greater Quintessence of Attack Speed
These ones are very useful like marks but as quintessences they are better idea.

Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed
These runes are worth it. They profide good Ganks/chases/escapes. I don't use them because usually i build Force of Nature and Trinity Force

Wriggle's Lantern - This item is a must because of extra armor, damage, free sight wards, and extra damage versus minions/monsters. In late game u can sell it for better item

Mercury's Treads - These boots are useful because of magic ressist and 35 tenacity. You can choose other boots if you want but i reccomend these ones.

Trinity Force - This is one of Skarner greater items. boost all what you need by a not a big amount. If you think that Trinity Force only slows this build you can build Sheen instead.

Warmog's Armor - This item is a must for an offtank. This survi is enormously huge. it grants 1270 hp + 40 hit point regeneration per 5 seconds. This makes you able to initiate less teamfights

Phantom Dancer - this item is good idea because of critical strike chance, mobility and attack speed if you want to buy Infinity Edge or The Bloodthirster this item will be worth it.

Guinsoo's Rageblade - Is a good idea because it boosts Skarner effectivness like his Auto Attacks Crystalline Exoskeleton, Fracture, Crystal Slash and Impale with a fairly good amount.

Nashor's Tooth - One of best items for Skarner. Grants some Magic Damage,CD Reduction, survi and attack speed along with some mana regeneration which help Skarner a bit with mana problems.

With this core build you should have good survi enough and fairly good DPS

Situational Items:

If they don't focus you:

Infinity Edge - This is a good idea when they dont focus you. This boost your Phantom Dancer,damage from Crystal Slash and Autoattacks. Also your critical strikes deal more damage.

The Bloodthirster - This item grant you 100 attack damage survi and synergizes well with Phantom Dancer . This also boost up your damage from Crystal Slash and AutoAttacks

Last Whisper - If they stack armor buy this. You will deal even more damage to them. if you didnt chosen marks and/or Quintessences of desolation this item is a must.

Rabadon's Deathcap - This item is one of most common items in the game. If you prefer building AP on Skarner buy this awesome rabadon. It makes your damage stronger and survi better.

If they focus you:

Atma's Impaler is a very good item on offtanks. It grants about 60 Attack Damage if you have 3000 hit points and 18 critical strike chance with 45 armor

Frozen Heart - This item Solves your problems with mana, AD carries and AD offtanks.

Sunfire Cape - It's Great item when they focus you because of armor Health and magic damage

Randuin's Omen I'm a fan of this item. It provides pretty good survi and escapes. You can replace Warmog's Armor with Randuin's Omen.

Force of Nature - This Boosts yout Mobility, Regeneration and solves mage problems.

Thornmail - This is a counter for Vayne, Caitlyn Kog'Maw etc. it grants you armor and damage so its very useful.

Guardian Angel - This is a very good idea because of Armor, Magic ressist and Ressurection.

Zhonya's Hourglass - This gives you stronger Crystalline Exoskeleton, heal from Fracture and damage from all of your skills. This also makes you immortal for 2 seconds and gives you 50 armor.

A BIT less worth items

Hextech Gunblade - this item is not worth it because of his huge nerf. You can always build it because these are only my words. I never replaced Wriggle's Lantern with Gunblade because i never play 50 minuted or more.

Malady - Grants Attack Speed, Magic damage(with ap which is also magic damage) and reduces Magic ressist of enemies

Skill Sequence

This Skill Sequence boost Skarner very much. Here's the explanation for it.
Crystal Slash in early Jungle is a must. Next is Crystalline Exoskeleton for better ganks and faster jungling. I max Crystal Slash first because its most useful in ganks. Next to i max Crystalline Exoskeleton for more survi, mobility, and to recharge Impale faster. Fracture is better on lane so i max it last.

Summoner Spells

Which i pick:

Flash It's very useful in teamfight and to counter enemy Flash while gank. I reccomend this spell Beacuse it boost up Skarner chase and escape.

Smite it's very useful for jungler but because of nerfed jungle it's just less effective.
You can smite dragon for damage and Baron Nashor which can be stealed by other jungler with Smite.

Which i reccomend:

Exhaust This is very useful spell. it makes you able to charge your q and makes enemy deal less damage (ye you mad Tryndamere?) so it's good in teamfights versus carry.

Ignite How many times someone escaped from you with 100 or less hp? This solves this problem and makes Vladimir, Dr. Mundo etc being mad (:D).

Ghost That's an epic escape mechanizm and with Flash it's even stronger. This also boost up your mobility and your chase/gank.

Teleport is useful if your team want to win and cooperate with eachother. all that you need is a sight ward in bushes behind enemy. Just when u used Teleport try to gank (activate Crystalline Exoskeleton then Impale(try spamming Crystal Slash while having enemy on your stinger)(smartcast is also a good idea) or you can just do a double gank.(Gank top lane then Teleport to try gank bottom lane)

Cleanse I like picking this spell in normals but i think that Flash is better. Cool Down is almost 4 minutes and that's good. You can use it to remove stuns, slows and other debuffs like exhaust or lizard buff if you want to escape or drag enemy for a longer distance. Cleanse is a good spell if you want to catch enemy irelia, nasus etc.
