i have some things to say.
1.Nice guide but you really should explain the item purchase more.
2.You explained the Skills very nice.
3.You should explain why you dont choose . it is my favorite skill for junglers

Skarner is my main jungler and I love him to death.
Here are my thoughts on the guide and responses to Back-P.
I am new to mobafire so I dunno if I am doing it right.

Overall a good guide. I only really looked at the build, masteries, runes and skill order though. I skimmed the rest and I agree with this guide. The build is similar to the one I use but the order is slightly different. Masteries, runes and skill order are almost the same too.
I get my Philo and HoG first, but then get mobi boots. I try get a shurelyas then straight after. Your w + boots + shurelyas will make you gap close instantly. Now you should be able to use your ulti on the enemy already and tadaa! Kill! =D "Yes but what about the MR and being slowed/stunned shorter with merc treads" I agree. Mercs are good. Get them late game. Not early game imo. Mobi boots help with jungle clear time a lot too. Skarner is a ridiculously fast jungle clearer and can be the same level as solo top or mid. I just love mobi boots =D (Of course if they have a **** load of cc, get mercs =P)
In response to Back-P why not get exhaust? - Because skarner has a red buff which basically does the same thing in my eyes (the slow). And if you dont have red buff, you have an amazing ulti not to mention the amazing chase down abilities+items which I have already mentioned.
Most people flash away instantly when they see a skarner coming at them at full speed, so it's good to flash straight after them!! Plus. shurelyas + W + Flash + R is what makes skarner a great initiator. skarner doesnt need exhaust for ganks, and late game flash is much more beneficial. Ulti has a short range, so flash helps! Your support usually has an exhaust anyway. Skarner can outrun a hecarim man ;)
If your support is not building an aegis, I would build one of those early as well! <Helps a lot
Get an early sheen to if your getting fed. Sheen is great on skarner because of the q spammage! =P
Then the late game items like Frozen heart, trinity force, randuins omen and force of nature. All depends on what team youre against and what you need.

Rushing shurelya's defeats the point of getting philostone first. He waits to build up gold early, which is important. Great guide. You need to fix some of your coding(you misspelled some, which changes how they look) but overall a pretty solid build. Great job +1 from me

^Rushing shurelyas is the smart way to build, skarner has fast clear and great ganks, he doesn't need that tiny bit of extra gold.

what about Wriggle's Lantern, for the quick jungle clears, some damage, but most important the active ward? i like the build, but you need to expand it more +1

Kha'Zix - Voiding the Jungle/Top
Amumu - The Friend Finder

Wriggles is pointless on skarner. He already has insane clear times and doesn't need life steal. He is a tank so gettin damage items isn't viable imo. Except for sheen and trinity force later. Atmas also isnt bad for a 5th or 6th item.
I stand by what I said with my early shurelyas. Your ganks are 100% successful unless they blow either an ult or a summoner spell. Or if your laner is ******ed and doesnt pick up on the kill.
you rush a philo stone, but then hog, boots of mobility and then shurelyas.
Skarner is my main, and I can't tell you how much I love shurelyas.
