Introduction

I do a lot of solo 5v5 queues. And I like to be melee but I don't like tanking because I like to be top of the charts when the match is over. So I started this Garen Hybrid style build because you cant be fed if you cant stay alive.
A lot of people prefer all tank or all damage, but I find I can handle doing some tanking in a large battle while still getting a lot of kills with this build.
This build is supposed to be very flexible and you can throw in whatever you need at the time.

Runes

The runes I chose are really out of preference.
The desolation means I can deal a lot of damage early on and still benefit later in the game.
The dodge is important for Nimbleness in the defense tree and because it helps you survive. Nimbleness helps pursuing targets that try to flee and to escape tight situations.
The CD reduction helps ensure that you have a spell ready to get the kill and to increase overall damage output. It also is a big help for Courage which plays a major role when you are forced into tanking or trying to escape a gank.

Items

The items don't exactly have to be purchased in that order. That is just the most common arrangement I end up with.
Always go for boots of swiftness first(Judgment is pointless if you cant stay on your target for the full duration).
Sword of Occult basically multiplies how feeding affects you. So even being slightly more fed than normal will show drastic results.
BV's Passive helps tanking, and to help perform a successful turret dive. The Magic Res is critical for survivability.
Warmog's is also critical for survivability.
Atma's- Armor+damage from health=win
Trinity force gives you just a little bit of extra speed,and everything else. You might want to get this sooner though.

increase courage sooner if you are receiving a lot of heat early game.

Summoner Spells

Ghost helps chase and helps escape. What more could you need. Flash helps jump out of ganks, or into them. Both help get away from turrets after a dive.

Basicaly.

So this build is actually based off of or inspired by a sweet pantheon build that is good dps and survivability. I receive a lot of hate with the build because its a hybrid but the final game scores don't lie.
