Intro

I have not tried jungle , so I'm going to leave it out of this guide, and just do my best to explain how I have played her successfully. This is my first attempt at a guide, so please be nice and suggest anything you think I should add

Guide Top

Pros/cons

Pros:

    She has good sustain
    Her damage is really nice
Code:
Blade Waltz
= win
pretty fast
can be very scary

Cons:
Saving her ulti + other team burst/cc can sometimes make you not use it
    lacks CC
    Destroyed by cc
skillful opponents can make you waste
Code:
Burst of Speed
by running away or by using cc, and
Code:
Riposte
can be avoided by not attacking during it's active

Runes

The reason I have the runes the way I do is pretty simple. Most champions that go top build tankie. The armor pen allows you to get through some of it, and the armor prevents you from taking to much during an exchange.

Another option for your marks is

Code:
Greater Mark of Alacrity
. These will increase your attack speed when you are not using your
Code:
Burst of Speed
, but in general I would think these marks are not as useful as armor pen :/

Seals you can choose
Code:
Greater Seal of Defense
if you are confident in your early game, or you can choose
Code:
Greater Seal of Vitality
if you are sick of being bursted down, and feel like this extra bit of hp will do it for you.

For Glyphs,
Code:
Greater Glyph of Shielding
would be your only other option that makes sense. Get these if your lane opponent has no magic and you are not afraid of a gank from mid early on

Quints
Haha, no. Your stuck with
Code:
Greater Quintessence of Desolation
. It's to good to let pass up. Attack speed will not be as amazing late game when you are using your
Code:
Burst of Speed
and hit the cap(or close to it), and your damage output will be better with armor pen than it would be with flat damage.

Alternate/final item

For your final item...

Snag one of the following and get them when you feel you need them, don't wait until your last item to build a Banshee if you feel you need it.
Code:
Warmog's Armor

If you want to add more hp and get this, then be my guest. But if you buy this, I'd recommend subbing out
Code:
Randuin's Omen
and also buying
Code:
Atma's Impaler
. These items will turn you into an ad carry that has a crazy amount of hp.

Code:
The Black Cleaver

This final item is if your team is doing good, and your not the only ad. If your ranged carry doesn't get this, then you probably should. It will allow you and your carry to wreck the person you are attacking

Code:
Force of Nature

If your sick of getting bursted down, or just afraid of it, then this is a good item. It will give you more movespeed (which is always fun) and will give you the most MR possible. Get this for sure if the enemy's
Code:
LeBlanc
or
Code:
Veigar
gets fed.

Code:
Wit's End

If your not getting focused much but the enemy ap is bothersome, then this is good.

Code:
Guardian Angel

This will allow you to get focused, die, come back to life and then say 'hello' in the nicest way possible: killing everyone who is still alive!

Code:
Banshee's Veil

Annoying stuns killing you? causing you not to be able to use your
Code:
Blade Waltz
? Well make them cry by not letting that happen.

Code:
Last Whisper

Tanks.. tanks can be a bother. I prefer this item to Mildrid's, but you can always go the other way. If the enemy team's
Code:
shyvana
is fed, this proably is a must.

Code:
Quicksilver Sash

Another anti-stun item. This one is not my favorite but It can save you from
Code:
Warwick
and
Code:
Malzahar
. If they are on the other team and for whatever reason like ulting you, then get this.

Solotop Facts

You want to avoid pushing your lane, but try your hardest to force your opponent off the cs. If you get an option to, then you should

Code:
Lunge
at them once, quickly tap on your
Code:
Riposte
and then (if they don't have a stun) activate your
Code:
Burst of Speed
and use your second
Code:
Lunge
as they are running away to get in another basic attack.

The reasoning behind this harass is because in most cases people will attempt to counter your burst with a burst of their own, procing your
Code:
Riposte
. Casting it early also makes it come off c/d early, helping you later in the fight as well.

You want to try to get in and out of fights in the beginning, make a lead hp wise (with your lifesteal and passive) and exploit it. Force them off the cs. This way you will make a money lead even if you don't get a kill. A creep is about 20 gold. A kill is about 300. Thus about 15 minions is a kill. Make yourself a lead.
