No Song of Celerity until level 5? Other than that, a really solid and in-depth Sona guide in terms of descriptive gameplay analysis and perception of her role in teamfights. I think the way you explained Power Chord specialities was great - I don't see that often in Sona guides.

Personally I've been buying Doran's Ring lately as my first item due to the overall bonuses it gives. Have you tried that? As a starting item, it's actually quite decent. Also, what's your opinion of Banshee's Veil/early Catalyst the Protector on Sona? Not worth it?

Runes aren't that great, see mine on page 3.

Skilling order is random, Max Q or W not pick a letter out of a hat style.

Items are good until Rabadons and Hourglass, get Randuin's and Aegis.

Masteries get Gp/10 because you're a support.


PS: If you get Archangels anywhere on this I'll DV. Rod of Ages is Ok though, as is Veil.

Basically lvl 1 Song of Celerity isn't going to do much within the space of a lane, so it's not important to get it at level for and I'd rather harass better with my Q. Archangel's Staff would not be good for this build since I don't get much flat mana and get mana regen instead.

I prefer faerie charm start for early rush into 1 (or 2) philo stones. Doran's will make you a bit scarier, and is a good starting item (I even included it as an optional starting item) but I just prefer making building a philo stone that much easier when you're going to have 0 CS.

ROA or Banshee's after your phil stones / boots are ok since catalyst will help you live, and they are nice items (I would prefer ROA if it's that early, then combo with BV + archangels). A problem with ROA on Sona though is that it requires a lot of early farm to maximize its effectiveness, which Sona shouldn't be doing. However, I still prefer the CDR aura items to help support your team and CDR on Sona is really good.

Thanks! Though right now your page 3 runes are...quints are gold per 5, your seals armor, your glyphs mr, and your marks, arpen... trolololol?

For skilling I usually prefer leveling Q/W equally (it bothers me if one is strong and one is weak usually) however I do detail in my early game section when you should max one or the other so you should take a look at that.

Sona is one of the supports that scales best with AP because of her spammable heal. I feel like Randuin's is overkill and Aegis would come too late to be worthwhile. I will however put randuin's in the situational section since it's an item I overlooked and it is good on her in certain situations.

Thank you for the feedback. I have been considering getting abyssal before shurelya's and I will test that a little more, although I have never had a problem with her heal being weak. I also still disagree that you should take CS (especially from a carry). You will be surprised how much feeding your teammate can help. I can see why you would want to build more AP on her if you are solo q / not playing ranked but honestly supporting your team in this way makes a really big difference throughout the course of the game.

Maybe it is just me, but I could see this build running oom far too quickly in a longer pokewar.. D:
