@ Everyone that wants Tear / Archangel's in this build.

The reason Tear of the Goddess / Archangel's isn't very good on Sona (and supports in general) is there are not a lot of aura items that give you flat mana (frozen heart is the only one I can think of). Most are mana regen. Archangel's is an item focused on damage output, which is not your focus. The only scenario I can see you using it in is where you are stacking a lot of mana / health items (ROA, BV, Frozen Heart) but I prefer the CDR / aura items to these items.

Thanks to Minho for my sig!

On the Tear topic:

Sona is based off auras, why wouldn't you want to abuse that as much as possible with other aura items?...

Your still getting mana regen like crazy!

Just don't faceroll spam your keyboard like non support players do when they play Sona, and your mana problems will be solved.

Sona is actually strongest when she can keep using her skills in successive orders..(Spamming her skills) - It gives more healing, more often buffs to your team and more damage in general.

I can't see why you wouldn't want that..

If someone can't stay alive in lane for 6:30 seconds on their own then they got problems.

Knowing when to give those aura buffs, is what eliminates the need for the SPAMING.

Only way to know, is to play support style.

Now im not saying there will be times ingame where spaming all your abilities is exactly what you need to do, all im saying is people need to stop playing Sona as a DMG dealing SPAMMER, and need to stop building/playing to that style, because she is not.

Seriously watch some high elo Sona gameplay (not much out there) and see how much a strong "babysitter" (supporter) can do for your team.

Ive personally seen an Ashe, and strictly support Sona just faceroll 2v3, 2v4. All sona did was cast her auras (WHEN NEEDED), and helped Ashe kite and they couldnt be touched. Couldnt even get close for a CC or anything.

Its not like there isn't any mana regen in this build anyways?... You have plenty if you know how to play this game.

Thanks! Though right now your page 3 runes are...quints are gold per 5, your seals armor, your glyphs mr, and your marks, arpen... trolololol?

For skilling I usually prefer leveling Q/W equally (it bothers me if one is strong and one is weak usually) however I do detail in my early game section when you should max one or the other so you should take a look at that.

Sona is one of the supports that scales best with AP because of her spammable heal. I feel like Randuin's is overkill and Aegis would come too late to be worthwhile. I will however put randuin's in the situational section since it's an item I overlooked and it is good on her in certain situations.

Good point on the masteries, I will change it, thanks for the feedback!

I said page three so I meant page three. ArP to harass the enemy laners, I can auto attack more often then I can power cord and you have MP% on the masteries so why mix them when you'll get less that way? Gp/10 because you aren't farming and the rest are tank runes because then you can start with mana reg and not get insta-gibbed in the lane for having 4 bars and like 5 armour/MR.

I disagree about giving ALL creeps to lane partner, it doesnt harm anyone if you take 20 and leave the rest 80 to your partner.

K, let vlad be less burstalicious.

+1, looks nice, reading it was nice + it's nice.
I'd touch Sona there and there, looks so soft.

People who argue over Sona's spamming realluy don't know how to use her passive. She is meant to twitch aura's (=spam skills) to trigger Power Chord. Therefore she does need mana regen. She is offensive support, just check her recommended items which almost all give her AP and CDR, that's obviously how the game makers meant her to be played: a damage dealing support.
