Very indepth guide. I have found a new love when I started playing Sona, I tried some other supports and they just didn't fit my play style, following this guide I have won 80% of my games that i've been playing, I like how good of a harass she is and depending on how good my carry is I can level up Valor higher than Preservence. The runes though are all kinda sketchy, right now i'm using some more generic caster runes but I think I might start picking up some defensive ones when I get closer to ranked games. Great guide! +1 |

Great guide! +1 Thank you. With the upcoming Sona changes though AP runes / mpen marks might be more worthwhile on her though, so check that out before you change everything around. :)

First off, I have to say that I love this guide. Its really great and has helped me very well, but I have a few questions about your masteries that you chose. I see for the new patch you went into the defense tree to grab Durability when in previous patch you went down the offense for spell cd, and you actually took a lot out of your spell cd talents for other things, and you put no points in Swiftness. Yes I read where you said you were just testing this mastery style, but I was curious as to why the changes. |

PS I did voted you +1 cause this guide has been for the most part my Sona Bible with a tweek here or there for my playstyle and team build etc I like the increased tankiness from the tank tree that supports lack since they have no money. My thought process was that mana regen > movespeed for sona. She already has a movespeed buff with her e when she needs to run. I also felt like mana / health regen > CDR for sona since she has to spam her heal a lot in lane. With my old build I went above the CDR cap by a lot, but it did give me a nice early game boost to CDR. Now my cd's are longer early, but I shouldn't run out of mana. Definitely needs some testing. If this works well I might switch out my MR glyphs for CDR glyphs to make up for the lack of CDR from masteries. EDIT: I changed my masteries around, maybe you will like them better now. I realized that perseverance won't have a noticeable affect until late game, and the sight ward mastery is lackluster since they are usually placed at choke points anyways (therefore a slight increase won't help you see anything else).

I like your support tree better this way, but I've swapped 2 points from Greed to put into swiftness, but also I'm running Avarice runes so money isnt an issue. I can see why you went with a more tanky though, but I tend to see that if I pass up Q and just lvl W and R I can out survive anyone early game with the CDR, which tbh, I have never once hit the 40% but again, my playstyle and it works. Sure it gimps the dps in my lane, but it increases our survivablity and isnt that as a support we want more? Sides, the few times I do get a kill from auto and my dps QQs about it is annoying so without Q I barely even lose anything imo. Thoughts? |

Are you saying you don't max Q until later? I'm confused at what the question is. :(

Yes, I am saying I don't Max q till I have nothing else to, but I was more interstead in what you thought about the CDR ever not hitting 40%. Sorry for phrasing this weird |
