i used to use locket but now that its gone i'm just throwing ideas out there and i use ghost because i'm one of those ****s that likes to out run everyone on the map for get aways and for mobilty during team fights

this build looks a lot like the one that i most commonly build when i play sona. except i still use innervating locket over archangel. i think that if your spamming your spells in a tough fight your getting 20 mana every 3 seconds and some bones health back while archangle only gives you mana. with sona no one really expect you to pack a punch and or anything so the AP doesn't really help for me. maybe healing for extra 80 may be helpful sometimes but i really don't think 80 will make that much of a difference. but what's most important about the locket that the archangel doesn't have is the 10% cool down reduction, with the soul shroud, you get 25% cool down reduction. and with enough masteries and runes that can total up to around 40% a huge reduction for sure. i also run clearity instead of ghost. as it will be useful late game and early game for when you do run out of mana when spamming spells late game or when you run out of mana early game farming. also there are times when your team is all AD and no mage at times like that i prefer to get stark's fervor for its lifesteal aura instead. imo, late game, all sona can really do is sit there and look sexy -.- and i think the aura really helps if all your gonna do is sit there and look sexy. another thing for sona is to wipe banshee's vale off other champs so your nukes and carries can use their spells without worrying about it. and a stun in here or there and thats about it... i think the aura build is the only viable build for any support only champ except for soraka
