Introduction
-Ok, always start with Faerie Charm, 3 sight ward, and 2 Health Potion
-on my first trip back i usually get philosopher's stone to get the gold production rolling. Faerie Charm builds into this so you can get this super early. I then go for the Sightstone, its to important of an item to have for a support and getting it early is critical. After those get the kage's lucky pick it gives even more gold income, some bonus AP and it builds into Twin Shadows. The i usually get Ionian Boots of Lucidity i find that you don't need the move speed so early playing support but when lane phase ends you will need it. and this item gives you the all important cooldown reduction.
-After your core has been built i usually go straight for Aegis of the Legion, great for the team defense and if the enemy has an AP mage that is rolling then i will build this into Runic Bulwark. any of the last items can be built to your pleasure. i usually get Twin Shadows pretty early cause its a cheap upgrade from kage's lucky pick and you still keep the gold income. Shurelya's Battlesong is great for engaging, disengaging and giving health and cooldown reduction, just a good item overall. Locket of the Iron Solari is another good defense item with a nice active ability. Oh yeah, and don't forget to upgrade your Sightstone into a Ruby Sightstone it lets you place one more ward and gives you some more health.
-Just don't forget to use your active item abilities!!! if a team fight just happened and you didn't pop your Locket of the Iron Solari then you are failing your team. of if your team is getting chased down and you get aced and didn't use Shurelya's Battlesong then you can blame yourself. With three items that have active abilities and another one for your wards you have to get used to using your items, period!

Wards, wards, wards! just having the sightstone isn't usually enough so sometimes you should buy normal wards. Early game ward the river by bot lane, the side bushes so you can see a blitzcrank or whoever sitting in there trying to get at your AD. As the game goes on, ward the entrances to you jungle, dragon, baron and blue and red buffs. Sona's ult is a sweet *** AOE stun, and its on a pretty short cooldown when you get you items going. Use it to save teammates or to initiate a fight. Keep poking people with your Q, it does pretty good damage. And heal with your W, it doesn't do much late game but early game when your AD is getting poked it really helps keep them alive in lane. Sona's E is a team speed buff, but i find it a little underwhelming. The key to getting to know how to use sona is in her passive. Its kinda hard to explain, but every third ability you use will cause her next autoattack to do something based on the last ability you have used. But when you get used to it, you can poke super hard, reduce the damage of an enemy, or slow them down quite abit.
