The first one is support, the second one is Damage (AP)... Possibly will be adding an AD one too.
Hello, this is my first build so dont get mad if i mess up along the way. If you have any suggestion on how i could improve on the build, then please leave a comment below. Thank you. Ok now lets get to the build... First off i build Sona as a support/damage champ. You want to be able to do some damage but you have to be more cautious about if your team is starting to get low.
Pros / Cons
A great pusher/laner.
Keeps the team alive during a team fight.
Can easily solo lane.
Focused first in team fights.
Not the best scaling.
For my runes i like to build per level so that way you will be of more use late game. Early game as support u already wont be able to do that much.
Magic Penetration reds so you can do some damage, and for some more harass.
Mana Regeneration per level yellows so you can lane longer and late game you wont have to worry about going oom in a team fight. Sona needs a lot of mana regen to be of use.
Ability Power per level blues so you can do something early game but late game you will be a lot more useful. Even though Sona's scaling isn't the best, every point counts.
Ability Power per level quint's so you will have even more ability power late game.
You can also get Flat Health quints if you find yourself being to squishy.
I start off with one Faerie charmsso you can lane even longer without going oom.
Then you turn that into Philo stonesfor the extra gold and for the health/mana regen.
Merc Tredsfor the tenacity and magic resist.
Ionian bootsso you can be a little bit more spammy with your ability's.
Soul Shroudfor the HP and the aura.
Archangel'sfor the extra mana/ more AP.
Rabadon'sbecause it is just a great AP item...
Aegis of Legion for the stats/aura to help out your team.
Shurelya'sbecause it gives good stats/cool down reduction/speed boost.
Ok now, I usually use "Clairvoyance"because its good for counter jungling and so you are aware of gank's.
I use Flashbecause your need some way of getting out of the heat of combat.
You can also use ghost if you would like too.
Fortify is all right but i do not recommend it.
Teleport isn't the best but it can be useful.
There is no need for Ignite, since as support you shouldn't be getting the kills.
Exhaust is more of a spell for the DPS.
You don't need clarity if you have the runes.
The others should be pretty obvious on why not to use them.
Make sure you have one summoner spell for getting out of combat... like flash or ghost!
Skill Sequence/ Use
So the reason why I start off with Q is because you shouldn't need to heal at level 1. It is better to have a little bit of damage so you can push them back. Before your level up your heal all the way to 5, you will want Q to be at least level 2. This way not only you can harass, but so can your teamate. I get E at level 5 because it isn't that useful in the lane. It will come in handy though late game when you guys are chasing/running away.
Now with the way that your passive works, you will want to hit the enemy with the right one. If you guys are just kinda sitting there attacking then you will want Q on so you can do the most damage. If he is hitting you or your partner to hard, then u will want to hit him with W to lower is damage. If they are running away and u guys can't catch him, then you will want to hit him with E to slow him.
What you should do is kinda sit in the back spamming "Q"and "W"so you can keep your team up and do some damage. If the other team has a "Katarina" or "Nunu" or any champ that has an ult like their's, then you should save your ult for when they start to use there ult so u can stop it as soon as possible. If your team is losing the fight and you guys are starting to back out then you will want to spam "E"and "W"to get out as fast as possible and keep ur guys alive. Don't forget to use Shurelya's. This is the same for if your team is winning the fight and you guys are chasing them out.
Sona is a great support/damage champion. You should get per level runes so you will be of more use. Build items to increase your healing/damage and to actually support your team with aura's and such. Use your power's wisely so u dont get stuck in a full Nunu ult. Don't be stupid and focus damage over healing.
