I like it. I'd suggest that you modify the items section though.
Mana potions, stealth wards and homeguard improvement for the boots don't exist anymore.

Everything is up to date now.

Agree, this build is amazing but I prefer Frostfang. I also go for the sighstone just after mana regen, and poke as much as possible. Only difference, my rune are built for a classical AP as 3 meta AP/9 red AP/9yellow Armor/9Blue magic armor.

As said before, mainly tip : AA-Q-PowercordAA is her staple combo (Powercord resets your AA), so abuse that all game long. (Don't forget to charge powercord twice before leaving base each time.) Lvl 1 doing AA-Q to the enemy ADC would left him with almost half his HP!

Last thing : Why will of the ancients? You don't need it. Just get yourself some AP : go for Rabadon.

Actually wondering if I should switch my Attack template to Utility... Any thoughts?

What I've been doing as of late, is a Frostfang, Ardent Censer and Athene's, Sightstone (sell it to buy the last item), Boots, Rabadon's, Lich bane and then sell the Sightstone for Rylais.
Well.. that's what I did in the last few games anyways.

Edit: you'll have to take the yellow support item if you are heavily countered.

I take E on level 4 as it's quite usual we've pushed our lane by then and might get ganked. Everything helps then.

I just never take sightstone because of 2 reasons: my forgetful brain and I've lost 9 / 10 games I had it bought.

I love you.. just tried this build and literally noone on the enelmy team could touch me all game. i could 1v3 easily.. take down tanks. everything. But yes i agree with the above, sightstone is a must for all supports. I actually took it in my game. Oh and if you take support masteries instead you can drop the will of ancients and still have 40% CDR with a sightstone.

Thanks, I'm sure I'm not the first one to make this build though, I just made it because I hate being a tank / passive. I went for the will of the ancients to have some Spellvamp to have some duoing chance against a jax (I won against a fed jax with it), but that's just me and it might be completely wrong.

Agree with going mana regen before sightstone. The sustain boost is hugely beneficial in lane. Just gonna have to not push tower as hard (all the time) until more wards are available, because Sona support botlane is indeed vulnerable to ganks.

I disagree with your early strat. She has massive poke damage early game, and earns more gold with Frostfang, so go with Spellthief opener.

Be aggresive early game and help your ADC with the trading stance. Blitz, Thresh and Morg are the best Sona counters, so staying behind minions vs them is obv crucial (and not so few minions that they can just walk past and get you).

AA-Q-PowercordAA is her staple combo (Powercord resets your AA), so abuse that all game long. (Don't forget to charge powercord twice before leaving base each time.)

I do great with these items:

Frostfang
Unholy grail
Boots of Lucidity
Sightstone (delay ruby)
Lichbane (understand it's use, 2 sec reset delay)
Rabadon

With 5% mastery CDR you hit the 40% CDR cap. Once at this build, You can switch to Mobility boots and a CDR item instead of frostfang, which one depends on enemy composition. I wouldn't recommend going full Frost Queen, but that's a personal pref.

Finally, I prefer Alacrity over Homeguard, but that's questionable, and don't forget Elixirs. GL HF!

I wrote this build in like Silver 1 I think, and IMO it's the worst tier there is. So as for earlygame, Sona doesn't have a lot of power when her ADC is not the brightest.
I'm buying the support item (instead of the Spellthief's Edge) because of mana regen + attack speed for the ADC, as the ADC loves more attack speed. I used to max out the Spellthief's Edge to the thingy, but after the new item released, I've switched my mind about it. Though, still as of late I've bought Spellthief's Edge as my first item, but not upgrade it any further.

I don't use the sightstone for the reason (up there). And I went with the Magic Pen. boots for the extra damage that it helps to pop out, especially when you have a strong AP midlaner and enemy team is building magic resist.

I use homeguard for 2 reasons: lategame, it's super useful if you die / back and enemy team is pushing a lane. You'll be in time to help your teammates.
And just in general getting back to lane.

Yes, earlygame, she is stronk. Always the Q + Passive will chunk the enemy laner's HP.
I once played against a Sona, as an ADC, and it is Pain, but 1 v 2 when your ADC is uncooperative, is not too easy.

GL HF, Thanks for the feedback.
