I made this build for the role of real support Soraka , with this i make sure that she can resist enemy team harrasment while you perform your duty , which is to heal hp and infuse mana to your team. Enemies eventually catch you off-guard and the least you can do is hold out until your team comes to finish them off.
Many may disapprove my choice in masteries , true . I made Soraka more of a tank because she needs to help her team ,not constantly heal herself. In case if your wandering what's with the AP , well Soraka's ancestral blessing and wish heal enough to give your team mates an edge in combat , trust me .
