Jarvan IV Build
Not Updated For Current Season
Welcome to my first MOBAfire build. If you are reading this right now you are most likely an experienced Jarvan player looking for more tips to make you unstoppable or you're an inexperienced player looking for how Jarvan should be built. Remember always that you should build to counter your enemy team, so do NOT follow this build to the dot. This is also more of a tanky-dps Jarvan build. With it, you can tank turrets and do great amounts of damage.
Greater Mark of Desolation I use the Greater Mark of Desolation for the armor penetration. Each of Jarvan's abilites excluding are physical damage.
I use the Greater Seal of Resilience for armor. It is nice to have some armor at the beginning of the game.
Greater Glyph of Replenishment I use the Greater Glyph of Replenishment because if you have played Jarvan before, you know that his mana regen is HORRIBLE, therefore you will need some mana regen.
I use this Quintessence for extra attack damage early game in matches. You can also sub this out for if you choose for more health while still getting damage once you get .
The mastery set I chose is normally used as a standard melee tanking mastery set. I like to have the more defensive gameplay, therefore I use these masteries.
There is a lot of wiggle room when it comes to choosing items for this build. If you are facing a full physical damage team do NOT buy or any other magic resist item I put in this build. When facing physical damage teams, focus on armor. Occasionally I will swap out for a when facing heavily stacked magic damage teams. If you are going to tweak my item build. I suggest buying items with more health because of the effect from . Also sell sometime between getting and
Gameplay as Jarvan
When playing as Jarvan, if you do not have a tank on your team initiate. Bottom line, remember to mark the enemy you are going to start attacking with hotkey g before actually initiating. Also remember that your can make or break a team fight, if you trap your team inside of the dome, you will most likely take a lot of verbal abuse from your team, and suffer an ace. Try to single out a target from the enemy team that does major burst damage and create a 1v1 arena that they cannot get out of. I've won multiple fights using this strategy. Also buy sight ward as often as possible. If you can see the enemy team attacking Baron you can use with to sneak in and steal the buff once Baron is low. After doing that I recommend using to escape unless the enemy team is low, then you should be able to kill them.
Below are some of the results from using this build. I hope you enjoy it and feel free to give me suggestions on how to tweak it.
