Hello Summoners! Welcome to my Akali Guide that works nicely for me and hopefully for you too! Now first off let me get a few things straight. This is my first guide I have made, mainly because I thougt I'd i share some of my success with you guys. Now if you're looking at the setups I built for her and thinking, "Wow what a fail", that would be your opinion and as I said it works fine for me, why not you? Anyways Akali is just your average kick *** Champion. She is an Assassain and is pretty good at ganking. Well now lets get on already with the rest of this, right?
Akali's skills are pretty nice. (Sorry for no pics of the abilities) I won't give you the game defintion of the abilities by the way, just basically what they are.
Mark of the Assassain(Q)- This move makes Akali throw a Kama(Her weapons) at the enemy. After that a purple line will be around that champion allowing Akali to normal attack it and deal massive damage.
Twilights Shroud(W)- This ability will be very useful in escaping and slowing enemies down. While inside the shround without attacking you'll be invisible giving a nice chance for escapes and also being in it will increase your armour and magic res. by a bit which is always kind of nice to have.
Crescent Slash(E)- I personally find this move useless until mid to late game where I have more items and needing to clear big waves of creeps coming at you. This is also Akali's only AoE attack, meaning it hits what surrounds her; or in the radius.
Essence of Shadow(R)- This is Akali's ninja move and also her ultimate. This what makes Akali truely an assassain. It makes Akali rush to an enemy with a good radius and do damage. You have to have an Essence though inorder to use her Ultimate, you can stack up to 3 of them.
Runes I don't think I should have to explain so much but I'll shorten it.
The Marks will be used to strengthen the normal hit after using Akali's Q abilty on someone causing even more deadlier results
The Seals will be used to strengthen your abilties... Duh. But to obviously increase damage on abilities Like Q,E, yea yea whatever ;)
The Quintessences are for increasing your Hp as Akali hasn't the greatest Hp and will get slaughtered without it
The Masteries under Offense are to help boost your crits, damage, and penetrations.
I find myself often in a lane against a tank and having that armour pen and damage will a great addition.
Your Defence Masteries are there obviously to increase your resistances and armour and so forth. Because I also find myself a lot fighting people who get their AP pretty high.
Utility I havent found very useful besides Ghost, sorry on that Mastery...
The Items I bet you're thinking errrr, why? Well because it seems to me, that I find it incapable to survive the Bottom Lane gank on 3v3 or any gank in the beginning, 5v5 too, without the boots.
The Hp potions are for early game when you have that extra money left and get hit in your lane. It helps to stay in that lane for a while ;).
Next the Giant's belt and Blasting wand to build your Rylai's Crystal Scepter, that item is a must and is very helpful all out in your gameplay.
The boot upgrades well the bonus to them is pretty nice and it seems the extra speed comes in nice later on.
Yes the Lich's Bane is a nice addition to your items, especially when fighting people with high AP. and the add-on to YOUR own AP is nice too for that extra slicey slicey when you're throwing your Kamas at people with Q.
The Starks Fevor is an optional item but it is quite helpful adding that Hp steal and regen. to your fights and/or while recovering.
Now The Brutilizer is very helpful when it comes to tanks. For example Mordekaiser or Leona. That armour pen. is going to shred that tough metal down to bits and pieces.
Now your last item I left out, because I find it very nice to make it whatever I want based on my enemies. Like lets say if are really high on AP like Katarina with 500 AP, I would prefer some more Magic Resistance.
I have never, ever, ever seen an Akali guide that started with Twilight's Shroud. Don't get mad or exit this guide out yet though! I find it a smart move getting it because (I play 3v3 more but it's still highly good on 5v5, I tried) it saved me, my team, and helped us get the first kill. How? Because it slows enemies and gives more time to kill them and if your team is losing the first fight you can use it to run away.
The rest I found self-explanitory besides Crescent Slash. I'm sorry but I don't see it too useful in the beginning. It's good middle and late game, but eh. That's your choice and there tons of other Guides out there.
Now I chose Flash and Ghost for nice chases and get aways.
Now I know some of you may not be the level required for Flash so otherwise I recommend Ghost and Heal
Flash will help you catch back on to their tail and get you within range for a nice Essence of Shadow, and also for a nice escape.
Ghost is just for the nice speed boost incase Flash and all your essence are used. Or incase you can't catch the other person. Also in a different scenario if you're being chased and they're faster. You should get the idea.
And Heal... well just for emergancies incase you need to heal fast or ran out of Hp potions.
Well guys that was my Akali guide I hope it was helpful to some of you. I find Akali very good and I'm good with her. Sorry if it sucked though as you might have seen in the Intro this was my first ever guide. So yea, I'll probably update it in the future as I get better.
