Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
This is a guide for a tanky WuKong. You still dish out a lot of damage after frozen mallet atmas, not what this guide says since they didnt factor in the atmas passive.
WuKong isn't that hard of a champ to play but you have to know your opponents move in lane to be able to get your w off and not recieve any or much damage form the opponent. Constantly harass your opponent with your e and at level 2 or 3 you can now use your q with your e. This will get their health down. If your against a katarina with boots and health potions, you can wear down all of the health potions and not receive much damage. At level 6, you can begin to gank or succeed in killing the enemy with much higher of a success rate since your ult is now up. Use your E and hit them with a q. Then hit them and proc the slow on your phage or frozen mallet which will slow them. If you have a laning partner, he is able to come up and use his cc's and you guys are able to get the kill without ulting. If it is a 2v2 open up with E and Q and if their team is much of a burst, use your w at this time. After this ult and knock them up letting your team to get a kill. Your ult is also useful if your squishy teamate is being focussed. Dash to the enemy champion and ult or just hit him to proc the slow on the phage. Using your w is best used in bushes. When an enemy champ is walking in the bush, activate your w and they will star thitting your clone, thinking you are elsewhere looking at your temates. At this time open with your e and q and hit the enemy champion.
You can ofcourse change around the runes having health per level runes rather than flat health but if you do that it might be recommended to get a dorans blade since you are going to be squishy without that flat health bonus. I go a typical tanky dps runes.
Start out with a long sword but you can start with a dorans if you feel like it. After your first time going back you should grab a boots of speed and if you are able to get a health crystal. I usually get two health potions usually whenever i go back until i get phage. You could ofcourse swap out the mercs for ninja tabi or zerks if you want, according to the enemy team. Because wukong only has one cc i get frozen mallet but you can swap that out for a later trinity and grab the atmas until later. And again, you get the rest of the items according to the team, if they are punishing you with magic get banshees. The madreds is because your pretty tanky and if you want to dish out more damage you can get madreds or just a gaurdian angel. You could also swap out some of the other items and get black cleaver or some armor pen for your ult to do more damage.
Not really much to say about this
on level two you can get your w if you want to be a tricky bastard
max e first then q then w
well ofcourse after your ult.
Pros / Cons
Good early-mid game
Good damage output
Has more cc
Dependent on team
Not as much of a damage dealer late game
