Introduction

Hello! Here I am here to show you a troll build that is somewhat viable. It works, but always test it out before using it on normal games.
Always make sure you have played Skarner a few games previously before using this guide. It is indeed a troll build, but if you can pull it off, you can consider this as a viable build.
I call this build "Super Skarner" because 1 + 1 = YOLO.
Pretty much this build has to do with getting items that will make you really fast. This will make your ultimate an easy targeter, because your dizzying speed will outchase anybody in the game. You just simply press R, and click a champion, maybe using a few items, then boom. No need to dodge, or move in a confusing zigzag. Just run straight forward and ULTII.
Speed = Game. If League of Legends did not include items that enhances your speed, I would have quit the game by now. Speed makes everything fun. Speed. Speed. Speed. Speed. Speed. Speeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed.

Feel free to comment about what you do not like, and what you think I should change/add. I am open to any suggestions :D

Summoner Skills

Flash and Ghost are Interchangeable Summoner Spells. However, flash is a better spell in my opinion. Ghost amplifies your movement speed making it easier for you to catch up to your enemies. However, Flash does the same exact thing, except that when you're chasing, it is more... surprising when you flash and use your ultimate ability, so to speak. For example, Ezreal is one of many champions that just cannot be chased down. Once you apply your ulti onto him, there is no way for him to escape. With the summoner Ghost, he has the opportunity to prevent you from using your pull, by blinking away or even flashing. However, with Flash, you actually have a higher chance of pulling him before he manages to escape.
Also, flash is a better tool for escape in general. If somebody exhausts you while you ghost, you are going to be easily bursted down before the Exhaust wears off. Also, Blitzcrank's W is actually faster than Ghost. What advantage are you gaining from using your Ghost at that point? With flash, even if you are exhausted, you can pull off a professional juke that'll make it impossible for them to catch up to you (e.g. the wall that most people fail at flashing over)

Obviously, you're going to need smite for jungling. L0L.

Don't judge. It works, ok?

Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed

are really overpowered. You will not see the difference in the beginning of the game. However, when it comes to chasing the difference in speed will be so great, you will start eating your unicorn.

Greater Mark of Attack Damage

This will help you apply a bit more damage to creeps when jungling, and to champions when ganking. It does make a big difference early game, however just make sure to Auto Attack in between your Q's.

Greater Seal of Armor

Skarner is veritably fast at clearing the jungle, I have to admit. However, without any sort of sustain or armor, you will be left with no HP after turning level 4. Having a bit of armor is very useful, and it could mean the difference between losing and winning top lane. What if your top lane was just ganked by the enemy jungler? Your top lane teammate ends up with 30 hp, and the enemy top lane is about to tower dive him. Do you have enough HP to save his life? With these yellow armor runes, you would probably have enough.

Greater Glyph of Attack Speed

Skarner's passive, Energize reduces every one of Skarner's ability by 0.5 second. This is a lot, and it is really overpowered when clearing your jungle and ganking. Your constant AoE slow is even stronger than red buff, dealing more damage and applying a stronger slow. With attack speed runes and a really good positioning when ganking, it will definitely force the enemy to flash.

9/0/21. In my opinion, the only viable mastery page that fits well with the build. You get both movement speed and cooldown reduction, which are two things that makes this build OP.

Maxing out your Q is better than maxing out any other skills. It increases the amount of slow, and the amount of damage. I thought raising your E at level 1 would be a pretty good idea, however I was wrong. It is simply useless, heals you for a little dealing no damage. If you feel like I am wrong, feel free to raise your E.

Items

Hunter's Machete + 5x Health Potions are the standard opening items on Junglers as they give you a damage buff against creeps, as well an effective 750 health sustain.

Now Boots of Mobility, most of you are going to complain, is a really bad item to start with. In my opinion, it is really overpowered when ganking, especially as Skarner. You have the mobility to both escape and chase.

Yeah, a Trinity Force. It's a standard item for skarner because of the slow and the damage. But who gives a **** about the damage. We're here for the speed and the slow! So like, with mobies and Trinity Force, at this point of the game, you'll at least have over 500 movement speed with your W spell.
Shurelya's Reverie

These two items are indeed interchangeable, even though one is an active, and the other is a passive item. They both give you tons of speed for chasing. You can buy both if you want, but I prefer one, because there are other items that are a lot more important.

This item is one of the most overpowered item for Skarner. Its passive gives you 50% movement speed, even if it is just for one second, and that is enough to chase down an enemy by also flashing if necessary. It also cancels all cc, like cleanse. With its proper use and timing, you can be the ultimate initiation to a teamfight, stopping any sort of slows or stun.

This is for the movement speed and attack speed. Nothing else really.

Last item. You cannot really consider this overpowered, but it is still a really good item. Its movement speed reduction to enemies is really effective, thus giving you a better opportunity to catch up. It also gives you a 5% movement speed passive, which is alright.

In Game/Tactics

In Jungle:

Your early game won't be too strong, however your ganking will be definitely powerful. Make sure you farm until level 4 in the beginning. Take blue buff first, and then red buff. If you want, you can level 2 gank and start blue buff first, but then you will be really behind in the jungle. First, you should take WOLVES, then BLUE, then WRAITHS. Then, if you started wolves first, you should be able to get WOLVES again. Then you can take RED at this point, then WRAITHS again. By this point of the game, you should be level 4. You can gank a lane (prefer top lane), and then recall. When you recall, make sure to buy a few wards and ward your jungle where it would be most effective. For example, make sure you ward near dragon, protecting your blue/wolves/dragon. You should ALWAYS ward your buffs. Then after recalling, keep on jungling, and gank one more time before level 6. When you are level 6, your ganks should be a guaranteed kill - only if you know how to gank.

Mid Game (15 ~ 25 minutes):

At this point, make sure baron/dragon is always warded. Your support should do it for you, but if they are not, then it is your job to ward. You should keep on covering lanes and fight in a teamfight if necessary. However, you should just cover lanes and jungle until your ulti is up. Then when your ultimate is up, you should gank a lane. Just make sure you do not take red buff if you are not going to gank for a while. Try to save your Smite though, you never know when the enemy is going to baron/dragon.

Late Game :

Keep on roaming around and follow the same pattern. Gank if possible, stay with your team, and ultimate people. Ward and ward and ward! If the enemy support has oracles, then make sure to get oracles yourself. (Or make the support get it). Then try not to ward too much, because the enemy would just take it down. In a teamfight, try to focus the person with oracles. You are taking away 400 gold by killing the person that has oracles. Pretty much, you are denying them 1.5 kills (250 ~ 300 gold per kill).

In a Teamfight:

You should be in the mid line of the fight. You are not that tanky, so being in the frontline, you can easily get poked down to half health, or even caught by the enemy. Be in the mid line of your team, or, sort of like Fiddlesticks, try to pop out of nowhere, or SURPRISE them. Maybe like flash over the wall and ultimate the carry, pull them into your teammates so that the person can be bursted down.

Summary

Skarner is a really fun champion. You can experiment many different builds with him, including full ap, or even full ad. Of course, that would be considered trolling, but the point of playing League of Legends is to have fun. That is what I am doing here. You can have so much fun with this build, I swear. Just try it and you will definitely like it.
