Gangplank has some great abilities but lacks in some important areas, namely durability. This build aims to add to his overall staying power and allowing him to stick around longer to continue to hit and run with Parrrley!

I start off getting the regenerative items for Tiamat plus a mana potion. This allows you to stay in the lane for a long time with the potential of nabbing first blood. As soon as possible, pick up Boots of Swiftness to add to your chasing prowess. The bonus damage from Parrley! is huge mid game before the squishy heroes can stack enough health to survive from more than 2 or 3, plus a few swings and perhaps an ignite. Getting Sword of the Occult as early as possible helps too, since you can get an assist or kill without even being in a lane thanks to Cannon Barrage. If you can get a full 20 stacks, you become very hard to kill since Raise Morale boosts your movement speed even higher (above 500 at Rank 5 without even killing a friendly).

Going for Tiamat next allows you to farm waves of minions easily. Parrrley!'s gold boost triggers if any minion is killed by the attack, so the splash of Tiamat means you can get a gold bonus if you kill a weakened minion that is simply in the area of your target. Next, Trinity Force is a no-brainer with the movement speed, critical strike bonus, potential slowing, and Sheen-like effect. Afterward, it's a personal choice between Phantom Dancer and Infinity Edge, based on if you need straight damage or more run speed/critical chance. If enemies are stacking armor, Last Whisper may be a good idea to cut through all of it, but the crit chance is often a better decision.

I've played about 10 games in the past few days with this build and have only once had a match where my K:D ratio was less than 3:1. Most recently, I went 15/3/15 in a game I ended up losing.
